Why does canned chicken usually have a pull-top, whereas canned tuna requires a can opener?"First method of estimating the intelligence of a ruler is to look at the men he has around him."

My guess is that tuna is canned on ships that are very old and are using canning equipment from the 80s or earlier.Botch said:Why does canned chicken usually have a pull-top, whereas canned tuna requires a can opener? -

At the airport. Headed to DC for a couple of days, to talk about science and whatnot. Thankfully just talking to other scientists, no politicians."I've made a note never to piss you two off." - Stike

For those of you who have the facebooks, checkout Melinda’s Hot Sauce page for their latest reel (breakfast game day dip). May have to give that a go this weekend. Has potential. 😋 A breakfast dip has never crossed my mind. 💡

Lol, I am not that great at it. Spur gears are pretty easy, but I haven't messed with anything helical or the like. The bigger they are, the easier for me to program.fishlessman said:

Still would of tried. Was down too long with that machine. Was down over three months, bought two for a back up. Old Czech machineposter said:

Ah,ok. We got some old iron as well, but in big lathes a drill press and a horizontal. All our vertical miller's are now CNC. They are user friendly enough to do simple tasks and one-offs, but can be programed to do lots of things that would be impossible by hand.fishlessman said:

Was just thinking that Ozzie hadn’t been active for a while. Checked his profile and it’s been over a week, which seems like a pretty significant break for him. He generally posts multiple times a day.Anyone know where he’s hiding?

Very unusual indeed. Hope all is well in the land of horses and Ozzie

@JohnInCarolina is definitely a questionable source, with a shady past, but in this case was accurate.I would rather light a candle than curse your darkness.
