My bad driving, Biloxi has horizontal grate drain inlets and I got to close to the curb at 45 mph. The grate can have a drop off if the road had been overlaid. There goes 20 plus years of not at fault accidents. Front wheel it just broke the sidewall on the tire. The thing is if the wheel needs replacing, how long to get a replacement?Ozzie_Isaac said:

Unless it is cracked, you can usually fix the mating face. Some local machine shops can do it if your wheel place can't.Gulfcoastguy said:

I have done it when I worked in a machine shop.
I also wouldn't necessarily call this your fault. I'd reach out to the city. Around here they will pay for damage caused by roadway issues like potholes.Don't tell your problems to people. 80% of people don't care and 20% are glad you have them.

No accident report, I didn't hit anyone or vice versa. If I make a big deal it could be filed on insurance but then my rates would go up. As far as the city goes, again no police report and the drain inlet was on the outside of the stripe. So likely 2 grand possibly up to 3 provided nothing but tires, 1 maybe 2 wheels, and a realignment. Could be worse the big battery pan seems untouched and all of the panel gaps seem even.

Panel gap check, I feel that. I hit a cattle grate in my 2500 a few weeks ago at about 80mph. After I woke back up, I did an alignment check, crawled underneath checked all the welds, and looked at all the panel gaps. I hit the same cattle grate in my Jeep regularly with no issues. Not sure if it is the wheelbase, tire pressure, suspension geometry, front end weight or what, but my truck does not like that cattle guard transition.Don't tell your problems to people. 80% of people don't care and 20% are glad you have them.

Cattle grates are the worst. My sister Beulah got her lower lip caught in a cattle grate once, but she was smart enough to make mooing sounds so we knew she was caught in a a cattle grate somewhere. Still, there was damage, her lower lip was gone, so from that day forward we had to flip her on her bum.and feed her mushy stuff. In my family, you love your sister and help her no matter where her lips have been.

I watched a review of this (for a pizza cook) and I'm not sure I really get it. The only real upside over other options is the speed to get up to temp.Canugghead said:

Didn't Ninja go bankrupt, or was it InstaPot? Does George Foreman still make a grill? I used to use one of those all the time, till movers broke it.

IMO it's a good alternative to one trick pony Breville Pizzaiolo or Ooni Volt 12 at less than half the price, albeit at 700F max. Perfect for condo dwellings where only electric cookers are allowed.JohnInCarolina said:
