I enjoy it, similar to Angels Envy to me but I don’t do high end stuff so no bourbon expert here. Total Wine had a cask strength version a while back that is 120 proof and loved it. At the $45 a bottle level its solid, I get it regularly.
Side note Total Wine was $45.99 for Four Roses single barrel yesterday. I went around the corner to Costco and picked up a couple at $35.99 so a price jump looks to be possibly coming on 4R for the fans out there.Jacksonville FL -

It’s a boutique distillery. Overpriced and a bit young but pretty darn good for its age. I don’t mind overpaying to support them as I can see where it’s going in a few years as they’re distillate ages. The rye is even better but more rare. Definitely not a value purchase but an investment. 🥃TechsasJim said:

Peerless distillery is located in downtown L'ville. @pgprescott has it well quantified but I find the finish more harsh than anticipated (aging issue). And as he noted, they are proud of the offering $$ wise. If experimenting give it a shot when your other experiments have run the course, but I would not seek it out. I will wait (if still on the planet) a few more years.The bourbon palate is so personal...Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint.

If you’re in Caps neighborhood you might be able to buy a smaller bottle limiting the investment. I have a couple few bottles of this as I plan to gift a couple. I look forward to the next few years of Peerless. I hope the price stays the same or lowers. It’s just difficult for the smaller guys to make the numbers work at a fair price. There is tons of bourbon that’s better and cheaper but it’s these startups that are pushing the big boys from below that has moved the needle in the right direction.
