Lol. Nah, that was the startup pour last night for a schmooze conference before dinner on the beach. Trade show and team building exercises start in an hour.

How do restaurant chains allow themselves to be catered crappy cold food?

The fable and folly is a backup and the Larceny BP hasn’t been cracked yet. Had a pour of the Lucky Seven “holiday toast” last night. Very nice! A bit pricier than I expected but it’s darn good.

That's a nice lineup of good bottles. Cheers

Not now but sometime in the not too distant future.  Haven’t tried this Old Forester yet.

Both are nice right down the middle offerings. You should enjoy them both. I’ve always considered EC small batch one of the best values in bourbon. Great bottle to give someone getting into bourbon. Enjoy!

  • The bourbon budget took a big hit over the past week. The Kings County bottles are distillery only releases that I was able to get during a quick trip to NY last week for work. The doc was an online purchase and it’ll be my first time trying one. The Remus and Weller 107 I picked up today from the bourbon club at my liquor store.

Does that say Shaft or Shart?   Not sure either sound appealing.

Can't speak to the Kings County but I've had the other 3 and enjoy them all.    Nice score!

I had the Kings County before when a vendor sent me a sample during Covid lockdown. I knew I wanted to get a bottle. They just released batch 16 and I got the last bottle of their batch 15 release. Send me a DM if you’d like to try a sample, whiskey is for sharing.

I will be most interested in your assessment of the Doc Swinson's pour.  And I fully recognize all bourbon palates are individual.  Nice haul.
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

EC small batch is my go to anymore for a “nicer” serving liquor that isn’t basil Hayden or one of the other common nice pours.

No, I think the brewery was started on the island. It is one of my favorite breweries. We usually go down to the San Diego several times a year and usually try to find time to go to one of their locations.

I will talk to a couple former SEAL buddies, they go back for “reunions” from Time to time.  I’ll see if they can squirrel back a can.

    Thanks for sharing!

PM your address and I will send you some. I can usually find a variety of single/cans bottles at one of the local liquor stores. This one happened to be at my gas station, which oddly has a great selection of craft/local brews.
