Merry Christmas cap! I filled the hopper to almost full, just about empty when I refilled this morning. No big deal since I don't use $pendy manufacturer approved pelletslousubcap said:@Canugghead - Merry Christmas. You must have burned thru a good amount of pellets given the ambient temps.

Pretty happy with this new kitchen toy, commercial duty

Thanks, we make these pretty frequently, they are very good. I just usually make 5-8 larger biscuits instead of the small ones the recipe calls for. RTRshtgunal3 said:

All done, ready for steaming tomorrow. Has been too chicken to try large proteins in Traeger until now, thanks to the cold spell. Glad I didn't have to dance with the egg for this and yesterday's prime rib.Canugghead said:A whole packer and a point for MSM, in pellet pooper since 10:30 last night, just cranked temp up to 225. Could have left it at 180 since there's no finish time target today, plan is to pull at 165 IT for 3.5ish hour steam before dinner tomorrow.
XL is getting lonely so I may use it for pulled pork tonight.

Forgot the drip bucket, duh

I didn't know if you guys knew that the new Mac OS can do this. I saved the above image to my desktop, then open it in either Preview or Photos. Then when you move the cursor over the text it changes to the Text Selection cursor, and you can copy the text from the photo, and then paste it into a document for better printing:TideEggHead said:

Black Pepper Biscuits
MAKES ABOUT TWENTY BISCUITS
We make these biscuits really small at the restaurant because they are served alongside an appetizer of skillet shrimp. You can make these biscuits larger to go with eggs for breakfast.
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper, or to taste ¾ teaspoon kosher salt
½ cup (1 stick) plus 1 tablespoon cold unsalted butter
1 cup heavy cream
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
In a bowl whisk together flour, baking powder, pepper, and salt.
Cube 1 stick butter and add to flour mixture. With your fingertips or a pastry blender blend cubed butter into flour mixture until it resembles coarse meal. Add cream and mix with a rubber spatula just until most of the dry ingredients are moistened. With a lightly floured hand, gather dough into a ball and knead it gently against the sides and bottom of bowl about 5 times.
Transfer to a lightly floured surface and pat dough into a round about 1-inch thick.
Using a 2-inch-round cutter cut out biscuits and arrange about 1-inch apart on a baking sheet. Gather and pat out scraps and cut out more biscuits
Melt remaining tablespoon butter and brush on top of biscuits.
Bake biscuits in middle of oven until pale golden and cooked through, about 20 minutes.
You may have to correct some formatting, but it works really well.

Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint. -

I think we were around 65. It was frigid. Fired up the grill for the first time at the new place and made some pizzas. Wasn’t Papa Murphy’s, but it did the trick.Ozzie_Isaac said:Decided to eat outside. 70deg, had to put up an umbrella for the sun.

There really ought to be some reverse beer tax, where the worse the team’s record - the cheaper the beer is.ColtsFan said:About to head to Indy. Taking the nephew to the Colts game. I hope it’s at least watchable. Those $10 beers add up quick 😂"I've made a note never to piss you two off." - Stike

I'm shocked if there's a major league arena, stadium or ballpark in the country where $10 can still get you a beer.Stillwater, MN

I must have pissed someone off. I asked what I could bring for dinner as my Mom and Dad is hosting my sister's family that are in town for the holidays. My Mom says, "A salad". What??? I guess that somewhat makes sense as Mom is making lasagna. I can't say my salad game is very strong but I'm giving it a shot. I made some garlic ciabatta croutons and made some Cesar salad dressing.

I'm sure on average beer at baseball games is less than the other three major sports, but the $5.50 figure posted for Target Field seems unrealistic for 2011 must less 2021. Having said that, I don't visit as many venues as I used to.Stillwater, MN
