    A few years ago when SpaceX did an evening launch from Vandenburg for the first time 911 was jammed with paniced calls when people saw the show. Along the Cali coast the show was quite a bit more dramatic as they were able to see the first stage separate and come back for a landing. Pretty cool site to see. Wish they timed all their launches so they can be seen in that light.

    There’s an outbreak of common sense in our Government but I can’t assure of the same in the premier league, which after all is more important.   Despite last week’s horrifically adjacent predictions, we go again; 

    Leicester v Man City : a case of resurgence interruptus here for the Foxes after recent wins as City are just too good. 0-2

    Bournemouth v Spurs : both off the back of two defeats and Spurs will be the least sanguine about that.  Winning ways are needed to sustain their top echelon aspirations 0-2

    Brentford v Wolves : The Bees are loitering with intent in mid table while Wolves are still trying to find a gear, any gear, to gain traction on the season.  Home win after and a dour contest 1-0

    Brighton v Chelsea : Time for the filthy Seagulls to taste the bitter Potter pill, as their one time messiah returns with his new best friends. He’s defo upgraded. The hosts have struggled recently, two points from 15 available and the Blues should ease the win. 1-3

    Palace v Southampton :  Rishi to the Palace, twice in a week - except one was Buckingham and I doubt he’ll actually travel to watch his favourite team whilst trying to be John McClane, Luke Skywalker, Maverick, Indiana Jones all rolled in to one as he settles in as PM.  Should be a home win but screams 2-2

    Newcastle v Aston Villa : The Toon are now accompanied by John Williams’ The Old Death Star everywhere they go. Villa, despite last week’s sacked manager dead-cat bounce will prove no match. 3-0 

    Fulham v Everton : The hosts are in fine form and healthy league position. I am refusing to acknowledge the existence of their opposition on the basis of the nasty way they treated Palace last week. 1-1

    Liverpool v Leeds : Feisty and fun times here, the Reds can’t decide if they are any good or not while the once mighty Super Whites, aka Dirty Dirty Leeds, are in full-on free fall.   Certainly goals a plenty 3-1.

    Sunday

    Arsenal v Forest : The Gunners mid-week Euro slip will be a sideshow as they get back to more pressing matters of staying top of the league.  Forest mugged Liverpool last week, but I doubt they’ll do it two weeks running. 3-0

    Man Utd v West Ham : The Red Devils remain all at sixes and sevens but the Hammers are steadily climbing the table after a shonky launch.  1-1.

    And away you go with your pension pot to the betting shop.

    Other girls may try to take me away

    It's actually only 13.25 untrimmed. But it was pretty fat to the end so after trimming it came out thin and long. Will make for nice slices.
