    Thanking little 7lb 6oz baby Jesus. Just found out my city is one of the 1st three in North Texas to get an HEB. We will be the 3rd built. 1st is in Plano/Frisco, then I think one in Terrell and then us.

     Actually looks like we will be 4th one is being built in McKinney.

    With the current heat-wave just wrap it in foil and lay on the asphalt.  No worries-will set up just fine!

    I did get to end it watching my kids play softball. I have 4 boys on the same team.  The foster boy we have is working well and he's playing too.

    Hah! I can be brief at times. I've been listening to Josh Ritter for years, I saw him live for the first time way back in ummmm maybe 2001, he was a warm-up for Joan Baez up in Keene NH, at a small but beautifully restored local theatre, kind of like an old opera house.  might be off on the year by one or two years. Awesome show, blew JB away. I've seen him a couple times since then. He's been compared to Dylan at times but honestly that's a hard comparison for me to make ... Dylan is still touring on his latest album at 81 years old, which was his biggest hit in many years. I've listened to it, he has a bad case of throat oysters, but on the lyrics alone, it's worth all the oysters in throat bay.

    Don’t stop now you are so close to having your own little league squad.  You wouldn’t have to deal with other parents at all.

    We did not bring a horse home unfortunately.  Rode two horses, one was really good but went lame on the last lead change.. really odd, and at this price point, not something I am willing to risk.  Second horse has great potential, but just wasn't finished enough.  Needs another 90-180 days to get to where I expect it to be.  The owner and handlers were amazing and we had a great time with them.  Might be able to work something out.  No matter how the horse shakes out, we made some great new friends.

    We actually aren't supposed to be home yet, but tragedy struck.  My wife's grandmother (person who raised her, was her rock, and was the first person she called when something good happened, bad happened, or just wanted to talk), was found unconscious at home.  Looks like she fell.  We raced to the airport to fly my wife home as fast as we could, but she died while my wife was boarding the plane.  My daughter and I drove to some friends in Salt Lake, ate dinner, slept for about 4 hours then left at 2am to finish getting back home.

    Tonight was dinner so my wife and her sister could just have some time to grieve and remember their grandmother.  I mostly cook to keep busy, because I don't want to stop and think.

    Sorry to unload, this is just so unexpected and I just feel so awful for my wife and kids.  This was their person.  Their cheerleader, their teacher, their best friend.  

    Really sorry to hear that. My wife went through something very similar a few days after Christmas. It still feels unreal. That last paragraph hits hard but perfectly said. Prayers for you and your family.
