Kofta made with ground beef, turmeric, cumin, coriander, cayenne. The sauce was like the gravy for Salisbury steak. Looking great, as usual. I love cooking with tumeric, but not the yellow spots I later find on the counter. 🙃 Good thing we’ve got an old, old kitchen due for a reno in the next few years. @GrateEggspectations - I hear ya. In all the years we've been house-buying grown-ups, any time we've seen a kitchen with white counters/cabinets, it's been a hard "ummm... No. The turmeric." Never mattered what the rest of the house looked like.

Agree. Our last place have a beautifully remodelled kitchen featuring white cabinets. Those directly above the stove became off-white over time - presumably, because of the cooking below. For similar reasons, I like darker shoes, shirts, etc.caliking said:
