I do like the offset on the legs. The simple taper is awesome as well. Looking at the no knot construction....very nice...love the simplistic design....but I am a Shaker (Stickley) type dude.....look forward to completion.. keep us posted..FarmingPhD said:Main joinery done, legs tapered. I found him. He told me once the Buffalo apologizes and adds the OT forum back to the main page he would come back. I tried to reason with him and explain that would never happen. He finally said he didn't need an apology, just the forum restored. Until then he feels he is persona non grata and is staying away.JohnInCarolina said:

IU football is building a monster. In case you missed the post game interview yesterday, it’s one hell of a recruiting video. Now if we can get Archie to do the same on the basketball court. 👀

Thanks @bubbajack - very kind words. I’ve really enjoyed getting back into it after a 3+ year hiatus for home projects. I’ve also accumulated enough proper tools for the handwork that it’s much more enjoyable as I’m not trying to overcome the deficiencies of the tools as well as my own. I bought some veritas saws and chisels as well as a set of narex mortise chisels by gift a few years ago and those are some nice tools.

Those are my kinda taters! I’d also kill the rest of the plate, but I’d probably save the taters for last.nolaegghead said:

Shhhhh. Somebody is going to money-whip him and he will be gone in a puff of smoke. Just hope that it is someone out of conference.ColtsFan said:IU football is building a monster. Preparing a seminar for a conference that was supposed to be in Kobe, Japan, but that is now being held virtually. A shame as I’ve never been and would love to visit Kobe, but by the same token I’m not missing the plane flight."I've made a note never to piss you two off." - Stike

Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint. -

Looks like you’ve got it all under control. Stall will kick in around 160 IT or so. I when it does, don’t worry! Just ride it out. Raise temp if you want to push on through. Pull the meat off at around 200 IT or so (whenever it probes tender) and then FTC for the win.Sheldon_Nigel said:Attempting a pork shoulder. Hope you are all standing by for help!

Roasted up a tenderloin to make cubans.
Cut it in half so I could baste half with Lane's BBQ Pineapple Chipotle sauce. Made for some great sandwiches and the picky daughter declared it her favorite.

If I may ask, is the broken stone in front to shield the butt from excess heat? Generally the rear gets hotter than front though.Sheldon_Nigel said:Attempting a pork shoulder. Hope you are all standing by for help!

Broken stone is to shield the dome thermometer. I light in the front and the radiant heat messes with my readings. I usually just use aluminum foil, but didn't want to walk back inside, so I grabbed the stone. I am sorting through various thermometers to make sure they all are reading correct at 275.Canugghead said:

While reading threads I saw I should do that, so I am trying.Ruining Gaskets one cook at a time. -
