I witnessed the death of the trash can at the last sausage fest. RIP trash can. Finally rusted out and burned through the bottom. That was a damn good cooker. Can’t wait to see what he has in store for us now.Legume said:I’m waiting for @foghorn to bust out this mystery cooker. Did @SGH ever find his brisket? Or teach us how to dig a hole?

My grandfathers wheelbarrow grill. He had cattle and orange groves. When we went over he would cook Tbones on his wheelbarrow over orange wood. At the time I didn’t fully appreciate what a treat it was. The wheelbarrow has rotted/burned out but we got an insert shell and add foil in an effort to preserve it.

@Foghorn - That wins the cooker award right there. Talk about the memories and going to the effort to retain the original. Impressive.
No pressure to nail the finish on those great looking steaks

SciAggie said:Does cast iron count? Tonight was spatchcock chicken, roasted carrots & potatoes, and corn bread sticks - all in the wood oven. This was my first time using the corn bread pan and I’m very excited I got the, all to release. I plan to make a Mexican street corn mayo/sour cream topping for them next time. The chicken is a small fresh chicken I get at the grocer. I cook it in the CI skillet with the lid for about 20 minutes, then without the lid until done. These are tender little flavor bombs.

Pics aren’t great. I was in a hurry...

These didn't come out perfect but delicious none the less. We do them multiple times a month easy...

The top is the more difficult to crisp depending on recipe. Mine tend to be wet cause I cant help adding stuff.....Brush the bottoms with butter before filling..

Pulled out the Weber Simpsons commemorative kettle grill today, for burgers.

Burgers seasoned with some dark soy, and DP Raising the Steaks
Served up Happy Meal style with turmeric and truffle salt fries, cheddar, pickles, and ketchup (per caliprince specs).
My little guy got a real kick out of the homemade Happy Meal

@SciAggie Cen-Tex dropped these buns in his recent burger thread. They were easily better than the Hammelman recipe I’ve used a few times.#1 LBGE December 2012 • #2 SBGE February 2013 • #3 Mini May 2013A happy BGE family in Houston, TX.
