We upgraded our appliances this summer and went with a Bosch dishwasher. I love how quite it is and the fact you can remove the top rack to fit big pans and buckets in the bottom. The Cen-Tex Smoker said:
mine shines a timer on the floor with how long it has to go until finished. The only way you know it's running. The induction stove...game changer.Wolfpack said:

I have a Bosch dishwasher and induction stovetop. Both easily the best appliances we have ever owned. I'm sold on Bosch.Legume said:We have a counter depth Kitchen Aid Superba SxS that's been solid for 15 years except for needing to jam a hair dryer in the icemaker maybe twice a year to unfreeze it.
I bought an LG dishwasher about three years ago. After 18 months it was as noisy as a truck. I danced around with the store for a while and ended up paying a repairman out of pocket just to be told they all fail like that and need a new motor...which will fail too. So I went to another store and bought a Bosch and got rid of the LG. I know it's a diffferent animal than their refrigerators, but I had a bad experience and the repairman said it was a commmon experience.

I would hope so. For that price, I can think of a few other things it should be able to do.dmchicago said:We have a Thermador. Retail is $8000.00 but it came with the house so it's was free, right?
Anyway, keeps stuff cold and freezes ice real good. Looks pretty and doesn't make a peep.

We have a Bosch fridge (and dishwasher and wall oven). Going on 2 years and the only problems have been cosmetic (had to get the freezer handle replaced and the stainless skin seems to be sensitive to dents). Overall, very happy with all the Bosch stuff.JohnInCarolina said:Does Bosch make a fridge?
We had a Bosch dishwasher at our last house and it did a poor job of drying the dishes.=======================================

I think these folks are hating their freezer right now: https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2017/apr/16/arctic-ice-cores-melt-university-alberta-canada“Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.” ― Philip K. Diçk

Took advantage of the Independence Day sales and replaced that POS today. Also bought an upright freezer, cause who doesn't need a freezer. Delivery on 7/15. I'll move it to the basement to cool beverages and dry age meat.

Living in SE Florida, I need a lot of ice, not just for libations but also for filling the cooler. Icemakers in fridges just weren't enough so I opted for an undercounter icemaker.
I first had a Manitowoc QM30. I wanted a Hoshizaki as their crescent cubes are my favorite because they pack tightly, easily move apart when stuffing something into the cooler, and cause no splashing when pouring onto them, but at the time Hoshizaki didn't make a small undercounter model that would fit in my kitchen.
The Manitowoc was fine, if a bit loud for a kitchen. I hated the shape of cubes as if you pour on the dimple, it splashes, but that was pretty much my only option at the time. It worked perfectly for about 10 years before it started needing a few repairs. After the third repair was going to cost a lot, I decided to replace it and found that Hoshizaki now made a crescent cube machine that fit my kitchen, the KM-61BAH. The Hoshizaki has been working flawlessly for a few years now. It is much quieter and I love the ice it produces. I have no water filter on it and it produces perfect ice.
Oh, back on topic, when we replaced the fridge, we got a barebones Kenmore side by side with no icemaker. All of the bells and whistles of the fancy ones were features we would never use, and French doors don't work well with a wheelchair as you have to reach far into the fridge to get things and the freezer door gets in the way. $720 delivered in 2014.Two Large Eggs, 6 gal Cajun Fryer, and a MiniMax in Charlotte, NC - My New Table

I'm in the market for a fridge as my side by side sucks. Anyone out there have the 5 door KitchenAid or Whirlpool? I'm leaning that way now and towards the WP as it's noticeably cheaper for a similar product.
-
Looks like we may be in the market for one as well. We bought and paid for one, but it was sent wrong, and now it appears the appliance store has gone out of business.

Geez brother. It's time for your luck to turn around.Jeremiah said:Looks like we may be in the market for one as well. We bought and paid for one, but it was sent wrong, and now it appears the appliance store has gone out of business.

There are some pretty decent sales right now and that 10% lowes card you get when moving will be handy.

@DoubleEgger gger I have been really happy so far with our LG. We were looking for NO ice/water thru the door AND the largest capacity available. We have only been using it for 3 months.

@20stone That model Traulsen is legit. G series? There are some factory set points that can be tweaked to allow for quicker recovery and less freeze ups on the freezer models. On the G Series reach-in cooler model same tweaks give again better recovery.LBGE 2013 & MM 2014Die Hard HUSKER & BRONCO FANFlying Low & Slow in "Da Burg" FL
