@Zeiger88 - great score. Local Kroger had a few packers a couple of weeks ago-first time I had seen them there. Gone last week but they were quite proud-$4.99/lb for the packer $6.50/lb for the trimmed flat. The flat price has been in that neighborhood for around the last 6 months after not moving for the better part of two years.
Fortunately there is a local Costco to the rescue.

I muted that game after the first 5 minutes. ESPN wonders why it's losing viewership. SmdhDoubleEgger said:

@bgebrent- being surgeon I am curious as to what "safe certified" really means? I could expand on my thoughts but I'm sure you are way ahead of that curve. Regardless, just check the box and do great things for the communities that will definitely benefit from your and Nichole's assistance.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. I absolutely love the little 1025. When I first saw them, I said to myself that they are just to small. Man was I wrong. Granted it has its limits, but it's a "do all" rig.jeffwit said:@SGH, how do you like your new tractor?
What finally made me try one was I was starting to see them everywhere all of a sudden. I was honestly blown away at the power the little machine has.
For a yard machine, it's a tough act to follow. It pulls a 4 foot bush hog with no problem. It handles a 5 foot belly mower with ease. It pulls the 5 foot rake with no problem. It handles a 4 foot box blade pretty good. However with all the ripper teeth down it starts to strain in hard ground. It handles the 4 foot front loader with no problem. The most surprising to me was how much power that the backhoe attachment has. I can did more dirt with the backhoe in 15 minutes than 10 men can dig with a shovel all day.
For yard work, I highly recommend one of the subcompact tractors. It has made my life much easier. Again, it's a small machine and has its limitations, but on that same note, it's small size makes it more useful for some jobs than a larger tractor.
The John Deere 1025tlb is one of a very few things that I have purchased in my life that I'm 100% satisfied with. I have zero complaints or regret. Just wish that they would have been making them 30 years ago.Location- Just "this side" of Biloxi, Ms.

Brother Grim, it does many things pretty well. You certainly can tidy up around your pond with it. If you are not trying to "crown" your driveway, it lays gravel down better than anything. It's also great for wind rowing debris and detaching weeds and small brush.Thatgrimguy said:SGH said:Bought a landscape rake for my John Deere 1025tbl.

Its one of those things that the more you play around with it, the more uses you find for it.
Several folks over here use them to make seed beds after they have used their rototiller. It's uses are almost endless.Location- Just "this side" of Biloxi, Ms.
