    Waiting for the finish, ABTs flavoring Mac & Cheese:

    Thanks for lookin'
    @lousubcap

    There are clearly 2 -3 ABTs NOT flavoring the mac and cheese.  For shame.

    That looks amazing. I think I would have to have my cardiologist on standby if I ate that.

    Waiting on the thunderstorms. Hopefully they'll be good today.
  • Just submitted a research proposal to the Army Research Office (ARO) for new experiments and simulations of dynamic fragmentation.  It's for about $330k spread out over four years.  Our indications are that it has a good chance of being funded, assuming we receive positive reviews.

    @JohnInCarolina -  good luck with the proposal.  Reads like you have some behind the scenes insights.  That always helps with the process.

    Yep.  The materials we're looking at are directly involved in force protection.

    Your team will be burning a lot of Midnight oil for this project. Best of luck, although, I am certain you will shepherd this project to higher ground and provide the required results.

    Edit - rest of post in "OT- Hurricane Irma -OT
    Cleaning up the yard after the storm and counting my self fortunate. Hung the two fence sections this morning that were blown over. Connection points to the posts were the failure points. Old fence used nails to join stringers to posts and those were put up 20 years ago. Plan to replace that run of four old sections this year. The huge live oak took a massive continual pounding, many of the higher branches were beating other limbs and killing them before breaking off. The top sections are all brown from the high winds and may come back but I don't know. Squirrels are not back yet, nor are the birds.

    I'm wondering if the reviewers realize that the "adjustable rigs" he asked for in the equipment budget are a BBQ accessory.

    Searching the main forum page for a link to the product site.

    A busy forum like this, with no pointers to the actual product seems like an interesting marketing strategy.
