Thanks for the pics!  I was starting to wonder if there was any food being served this year, or if maybe everyone was just too drunk to post on the forum.

We used brisket instead of pork but the same idea. Also made a daikon slaw instead of carrots. Been working this recipe for a couple of years.

Mickey was definitely a consumer this time. The new venue is nice, had a great time today and the weather cooperated as well. The food and cooks get better every year. We will be back in '17

Another great time in Salado. Was great fun seeing so many friends again. Thanks to the organizers.

Here's a picture of what we cooked-- spatchcocked chicken, and jalapeños stuffed with cream cheese, then a shrimp, wrapped in bacon, with a peach-bourbon sauce. Yes I know these things have a name but my friend Tom keeps asking me "when are you going to bring over some more of those shrimp dealies" so "shrimp dealies" is what I call them now.

See you next year for sure, and hopefully sooner.

Those brats were incredible. But I have to classify the after party as a failure because I still have beer in my cooler.

The apple pie moonshine was outstanding. Despite that, everybody was largely well-behaved.

I'm glad you liked the brats.  It was fun making them.  @Foghorn, thanks for opening up your cooler.  Those were some fine Belgians in there, and great wing sa well.
