Enough gloating and messing with y’all for one day. Going to kick back with a bottle of Angels Envy, fire up a Monte Cristo and just bask in the ambience. Have a good night fellas 👍
I usually save Monte Cristos for breakfast, but on a day like today, you enjoy them for dinner my friend.

Rather than playing your “greatest hits”, perhaps you could consider more shaving posts.
Trust me my friend when I say they are coming. Got a new shaving bowl made of brass. Dying to show it off 👍
    Please, do not.
Then everyone and their brother will quote your damn posts, including all pics, and my slow connection will not be able to download pages and pages of the WAYDRN, as before.  And if I ask the Buffalo if he/she could limit the size of the photos, and suddenly they can't be zoomed and everyone's pissed at me, well...

I like hanging here but it's not worth that kind of frustration.  Please, just don't.

  • it’s nice to see all the post election enthusiasm.  it is enabled by significant amnesia about the first term and blinders to only believe the sound bite of policy waffling that people want to hear for upcoming term.  but nonetheless, nice to see the honeymooners and play along for a bit.

    Query me this:

In 2020 Trump received 74.2 million votes, Biden allegedly received 81.3 million.

In 2024 Trump currently has 72.1 million and Harris currently has 67.3 million.

What happened to those 14 million "voters" for the Democrats?  And better yet, where are the shortfalls?  Swing states perhaps?

Would LOVE to know the answers
It almost sounds like someone was telling the truth when he repeatedly said the election was rigged. It’s definitely enough to make one stop and ponder for a moment. That is if you are a sensible person.

I greatly appreciate the irony in celebrating a Republican win with a luxury made available by the Dems. 😉

Something that has bugged me since it started - the threats of vengeance, seeking out his enemies, the violent rhetoric and imagery toward people he considers his enemies.

How do the Trump supporters here feel about this? Definitely a new low for a campaign. Are there people you feel he would be justified about going after? Where is the line in reality vs campaign world?

Just an observation, but I feel like we no longer seek to elect leaders we look up to. I think we don’t put as much weight into the values of those running for office as we may have in the past.

This is not a comment I am directing at the U.S., nor at any party. Seems like it’s happening here and elsewhere too.

Who knew there was that much garbage in the US electorate? This is a repudiation of Bidens agenda. Kamala had many opportunities to distance herself and layout her own policies, especially given that every poll showed the majority of people said the country was on the wrong track. As far as amnesia, I would say most people fared well under Trumps last administration.

if you mean how big the 2020 win is in hindsight, i would agree that 2020 was a great win— and it was a legitimate win.  biden saved our ass in a lot of ways but has definitely not batted 1.000 on the job

If that’s directed at me, fair enough, but this isn’t a cooking thread. I’ve been cooking on an egg for close to 26 yrs but don’t take pics, much like our friend Heavy G.

i agree and she didn’t do enough there to sway people and drown out the noise. and frankly too many people feel comfortable assuming the worst about women and minorities as leaders. they love white jesus white santa white superman white sports team owners.

the small business folks i talked to love trumps early economic environment because it was a deregulated enthusiasm. and of course corporate and high income were loving it. then they say covid ruined everything. in aggregate i don’t think small business has recovered to any sort of new normal through covid and after the no payback payroll loans money ran out.  corporate recovered quickly and kicked ass since. record years everywhere.  the amnesia part i think people had about the first term was the, well, anything bad and obviously there lots of examples that both dems and repubs have been warning us about this election.

It was not only directed at you, there appear to be plenty of moles poking their heads up out of the sand today.

As for HeavyG, sadly we’ve not seen him around these parts for months.  Nobody knows what happened to him.

And by the way, you don’t need any pics to post a recipe.  Do it up!

How do you square that with that halo of crime that follows him around, buddying up to Putin, etc.?

Which people didn't do well under his last term?

What policies did he actually articulate?  This is what just confounds me and I really want to understand. The criticisms leveled against Kamala are a totally different yardstick than how Trump supporters

This kind of sums up what I think you're saying

Drown out what noise? The legacy media was propping her up at every opportunity. She was a DEI pick from the beginning and Dems paid for that. Anyone else would’ve been more competitive. As far as not voting for a black female, she did worse with blacks and women than Biden did in 2020.
