Shrimp tacos last night. Underneath is kind of a salad/slaw with just olive oil and red wine vinegar, keeps it all from getting real heavy.Love you bro!

Wife made some Texas private school enchiladas, it's the voucher chicken that really makes the difference.

No pics suitable for sharing, but kids, 5 and 10, both ate several raw oysters at Le Mignon, in Montreal over the weekend.

My kids and now being passed along to the grands were always exposed to foods well beyond the main-stream kid food menu. Served them extremely well and is now working with the follow-on generation.

As an aside, I had largely given up on oysters the last several years after the last two attempts (one of which may or may not have involved several dozen) yielded debilitating stomachaches - my only perceived food intolerance, and the sole symptom afflicting me. Had two on the weekend without adverse effects, so definitely intend to push the envelope further. -
@GrateEggspectations Here's a link to a video that will get you close to the chargrilled experience and then you can tweak to achieve chargrilled heaven:

BTW- I can nail the oysters much more frequently than the Central Texas brisket challenge.

Son is at Cirque du Soleil with his grandfather. Daughter had free choice of eats tonight and chose sushi. Could only get shots after everyone had dug in.

Continue to be impressed with you and your wife expanding their palates and them fearless when offered new foods.
They will be most appreciative in the long-haul.
