The point isn’t to make a logical argument, it never was. The point of borrowing that slogan from the pro-choice movement was to piss off liberals. That’s always the point. It’s all grievance politics.Ozzie_Isaac said:

In a few days I turn 78 so that means I’m further along this conveyor belt of life than most of you.
With that said I really wish all of you on BOTH sides of this heated debate the best as the winner MAY actually be the loser on just where the USA is headed, but most SELFISHLY and THANKFULLY I most certainly won’t be around! No gun to my head, but a goodbye in advance to my fellow eggheads!

I think there is a case for impeachment of supreme court justices and based off this article it seems relevant to your questions.

I for one am shocked that the dude who sexually assaulted Christine Blasey Ford and then lied about it to the entire country wasn’t telling the truth when it came to his intentions for Roe. Nobody could have seen that coming.CP92 said:Botch said:I can't remember, are potential SC Justices sworn in before the questioning? If so, what happens when three of them committed perjury? Just to update the NYT, Mississippi has had two laws passed. The second is the law that the court ruled on and upheld, no abortions after 15 weeks. The first was a trigger law banning abortion entirely if Roe versus Wade was overturned. I guess that we will see which one the state enforces.

Add AZ to the red list per a letter from the Senate. pre-Roe laws are now in effect.JohnInCarolina said:

*****'S (posted above), and Google (I'm sure there are others) have announced relocation benefits, or health insurance coverage, to take care of abortion services for their employees. Given how it matters less where an employee is physically present for many companies nowadays (at certain levels), I don't think it will hurt the companies much.

Visa considerations trump just about everything else for international students/trainees in the biomedical sciences. caliqueen tells me stories of what new hires did not ask/consider before signing on, and it makes me cringe. Sadly, many PI's do not have the scruples that keep them from exploiting trainees/younger graduates.#1 LBGE December 2012 • #2 SBGE February 2013 • #3 Mini May 2013A happy BGE family in Houston, TX. -

To be clear I’m talking about the very best students, the ones who typically get into multiple schools and have choices of where to matriculate.
We actually saw a much smaller version of this at Duke many years ago when NC passed that awful bathroom bill. We missed out on a good number of students."I've made a note never to piss you two off." - Stike
