Summers are always my busiest time of year so I haven’t posted in a while but here’s some mangrove snapper and crab cakes from last night! Crab cakes got a little crispy on one side, my fault. Caught these in gulf shores a few weeks ago. Plus a 21.5 inch redfish went in the cooler.

Fun at the lake with the mini max, pork butt on a stick

Seasoned with Dizzy Pig Peruvianish, salt and pepper.
Cooked one hour at 300°, then applied the first layer, Kinder's Hot BBQ sauce, of three.
Served with buttered pepper sweet corn

Thanks DB! If it makes you feel any better the shrimp were frozen. But with the prices of snapper, grouper, etc being so high these days I find myself thinking twice before throwing keepers back, at least when we are at the beach.dbCooper said:

Messing about with a 10" paella pan as the larger ones crank out too many groceries during the week. The blanched out colors are a few shrimp and I tossed in some artichoke hearts.

No post complete without the cook derivative of the $$ shot:

Starving when I got home, lots of leftovers but not in the mood. These took 15 minutes using some hamburger nor used for the spaghetti earlier in the week.

That is one fine looking sandwich. The green apples seem to be the odd man out. May have to try those sometime.LBGE, LBGE-PTR, 22" Weber, Coleman 413GGreat Plains, USA

pumkinhead beer verse bass ale. this years pumpkinhead beer tastes a little chemically, seems you need to try different pumpkin brews til you find one that tastes right every year. not a consistant brew year to year
