First cook on my egg in almost 2 years. Between moving my sister in law up from Mississippi, selling our townhome, moving into an apartment while we had a new house built, the movers breaking my old egg, my stepson buying me a new egg for Christmas, and waiting until our hardscaping to be put in, it's been a long time coming! Burn already settled in at 246. Off to the store for some sides.

Thanks. The drop spider and the thick SS grate makes it pretty easy to get some fire on the meat.Wooderson said:

None of it looks like much, but the lady wanted blueberry waffles for brunch. So I made blueberry waffles with a berry compound butter and bacon. My son ran and got her (really for him) some mini-donuts. Also meal prepped our lunches.Las Vegas, NV

Did some cheffing today, too.
It was Mother’s Day all day here. Started with a kale (from caliqueen’s garden) and roasted red pepper frittata.caliprince spent my money, and bought his momma a nice, thoughtful gift. Then, learned a valuable lesson, that you can’t wait until Mother’s Day to go and buy flowers. He did pick up a couple of other sweet things for her from the dollar store.MIL requested yakitori, so … yakitori.Ginger soy SV short ribs. Pork belly with green and some kind of Korean miso sauce. Chix legs with soy orange glaze. Tsukune (chix meatballs). Miso butter onigiri. Shisito peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms, asparagus.Rose water pistachio cupcakes, with mascarpone frosting.Done. I think I scored a few points until next year.#1 LBGE December 2012 • #2 SBGE February 2013 • #3 Mini May 2013A happy BGE family in Houston, TX. -

Thanks @Canugghead @lousubcap. Yakitori usually goes over well on this side, so I try to have it in our regular rotation.
There were supposed to be 3 short ribs in that pic, but caliprine swiped one as soon as the tray hit the table.#1 LBGE December 2012 • #2 SBGE February 2013 • #3 Mini May 2013A happy BGE family in Houston, TX. -
