As you know some of us at the EGG are not only passionate about live-fire cooking but are also car enthusiasts. This past weekend we held a Cooks & Cars F1 Watch Party and Car Show. We had the Georgia Chapter of the Ferrari Club of America and the guys from the Metro Motorcar Club all bring out their prized possessions. Chef Guy from the Big Green Egg Culinary Center provided a delicious brunch spread as we watched the first race of the F1 season. You see all the pictures and read the blog here.
Did you know you can stop by the BGE HQ in Atlanta (The Mothership) every Saturday for "Smoke on the Porch" for some food samples while supplies last? You can also see a Cooks & Cars Show the last Saturday of every month and if you have a car that you would like to show, please cruise-in and join us.

Nice and "lights out" in around 10 minutes in Jeddah. Sounds like a great event. Slick advertising with the kart!Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint.

Yeah detailing. He quit his day job of detailing at a dealership and is on his own. Specializing in paint correction and ceramic coating. He's at "the shop" with his friends today painting and cleaning.WeberWho said:kl8ton said:

@kl8ton It sounds like things are going good with your sons business if they are renting a shop at this point. That's fantastic! (Detailing if I'm not mistaking?) Our detailing shop here in town is like playing Tetris with cars in their parking lot. While the parking lot isn't very big it has endless cars waiting to be detailed year round. I'm hoping they're seeing the same business your way.
Edit: yeah detailing is busy here. He's the third shop in a half mile.Large, Medium, MiniMax, 36" Blackstone

You’re right re: front axel lift (my B-I-L also got this on his GT3) and the ceramic brakes.Ozzie_Isaac said:
Carbon fiber hood and roof is standard on the GT3RS, the Weissach package highlights them in gloss black.GrateEggspectations said:
He rhymed off a few things. Not sure if these are options or if he was just naming standard features - hydraulic ride height control, carbon fiber hood and roof, upgraded brakes, etc. He also said something about a red-delete on one of the back lights(?). Went with the regular seats vs the upgraded racing buckets, as he has some hip issues and values comfort. I’ll be able to give you a better tally when I see it, but I can ask him for the spec sheet if you’re curious.Ozzie_Isaac said:
Very cool! Any idea on the Spec they ordered?GrateEggspectations said:Neighbour just pulled the trigger on a GT3 RS. Will post photos upon first sighting (this spring, apparently). He was also pleased that he put down his deposit when he did, as he was able to avoid a new luxury tax that would have added $30K to the price tag.
The ride height control may be the front axel lift for getting into driveways and over speed bumps and stuff. That is a highly recommended option, and the carbon ceramic brakes are an upgrade that really help on the track. Having comfortable seats is a good call too.
It sounds like a great spec, keeps the track focus, while making some livability and use concessions. Looking forward to seeing some photos when he gets it delivered! There’s a lot going on for this neighbour. Also just custom-built his new home (moving just down the street within the next week or so), but he’s going to add a lift for storing the new toy. Will be a great setup. -

I would say that Barrett is the biggest name but Mecum is the biggest auction house. Mecum has auctions throughout the US.GrateEggspectations said:
