    Well, what the heck.

My 10-yr-old Macbook can't be upgraded anymore, and one by one websites wouldn't talk to it anymore; first my credit union, then wikipedia, and then this forums several weeks ago.  I could keep up here on my newer desktop.

Then yesterday the keyboard on my desktop quit working.  Drove to Bestbuy this morning for a new one, curbside pickup only; gah.  Car started screaming at me on the way home, "Low Tire Pressure!", pulled into Discount Tire, and saw the 1/4" bolt in my relatively new front tire; gah.  They ordered one and hoped it'd be in this afternoon.  I walked the rest of the way home, about a mile; light snow and cold.

Missed the telecon for closing on my Mom's house in Sioux Falls, but I had pre-signed my docs and they didn't need me (sister was there).  Tried to order-for-curbside a new keyboard for the desktop, but bestbuy.com wouldn't talk to my 10-yr-old laptop.  Called them on the phone, and bestrobot couldn't understand any variation of "connect me to the Apple section" that I could think of.  Finally ordered one from Amazoid, here Thursday; gah.

Then, tonight, I accidentally clicked on my Egg bookmark (on my laptop), and it opened!  I had to re-log in, but it seems to be working okay now.  No idea WTF is going on.  I'll be updating my laptop when Apple releases an ARM-armed 16" Macbook Pro next year (this 13" Air is too small for my, er, lap).

TL;DR:  today sucked and I'm cold and broke.

Main thing I need is a vehicle that can last 200,000 miles with not a lot of upkeep or issues. I love my 4runner because I’ve barely had to make any repairs on it and it still runs great. I’m keeping it till it dies.
This sez Toyota, also.  I'd still be driving my '92 (230,000 miles) except someone ran a stop sign and totaled it.  My '07 Taco only has 63K on it, and it will be my last truck; as long as the new 4Runner has enough space for you, it'd be a no-brainer for me.  My 2-scent's worth...

I got a 2020 Ram 1500 limited, it’s great. Huge touchscreen, and apple CarPlay (also android auto). Best improvement in infotainment systems. No longer need to update gps maps, or have a subscription.  All new trucks will have it, but screen size was important to me and RAM has the biggest.

I am waiting in a queue (at least another hour) to buy a Buffalo Trace produced single barrel of one of their bourbons (I know what I will grab if still available).  I suspect based on recent years of this deal that I will end up shut out as this buy happens once a year.  There are 1550 ahead of me.  At least it is a lousy day and "every day is Saturday" so it's not that painful.
Edit:  As expected, shut out.  On to next year!

I like Buffalo Trace as a daily pour.  I don't think it has any hype around here-just a decent drink at the price point.  I was in the above queue ( a once a year event) to see if I could get one of their other offerings.  My targets were EH Taylor, Eagle Rare or Weller's. Struck out.

I just installed a new head unit in my old FJ so I can run Android Auto. Such a great upgrade.

Dang - that's about the only bourbon I have heard of being scarce outside ground zero and still available here.  I need to grab a few bottles (like TP) before it's gone from around these parts.

My guy usually has Eagle Rare.  I have an EH Taylor downstairs that I got at the distillery.  Never seen Weller in the wild.
