    I step away to tell my son to grab a bottle of not quite unicorn rye whisky and when I get back...poof.  
    Anyhow-really appreciate @Eoin , @CPFC1905 and @Stormbringer's participation this evening (AM over there).  It was quite enjoyable, enlightening and always a learning event.  Great fun.

    @Eoin - Thanks for the update as your menu last night sounded very impressive.  Never a doubt about them enjoying your efforts.  You may need to transition to some serious adult rocket fuel once this winds down/up??

    I had too much last night. I'm a sucker for lime based drinks, so too many caipirinas, followed by the rye. Food went down well and they're a reasonably well behaved bunch.

    Reading the book is a stiff challenge, yet to be completed.   Along with anything by William Burroughs. But I will do it.

     I read the book before seeing the movie.  I was hanging out with an English professor one time and he played the entire film, stopping it frequently to explain the nuances hidden in the plot.  He taught it as a subject in one of his classes.
