These meet ups have caught my interest and keep thinking it would be fun to join in.  Couple issues prevent me, I'm introverted and have no camera on my PC.
One I can fix pretty easily, I think.
I’ll send you the password.  On occasion we have folks join who mostly just listen to the rest of us talk.  Nothing wrong with that.

I would be up for rolling in earlier to support a decent (US (EDT)  + 5hours for the UK) start time.  Besides hopefully at that point I will still be trying to find the LEO launch pad so there's that plus or minus...

@JohnInCarolina The ceremony had it’s positive points. We streamed it live. That’s probably something we should continue to do. The majority of the students and parents felt like they got the best that could be done given the conditions. There were many complaints in the weeks leading up to graduation but very few about the ceremony itself.

@Eoin we need to get on this.   It's been a long time since I pulled a night shift but perhaps we could negotiate an earlier start time?
You guys definitely can.  I’m sure if you two were up for meeting some of us on a Friday or Saturday evening (UK time), we would have some takers here in the states willing to join early.  Just let me know what works for you two and I’ll make it happen.
Thanks @JohnInCarolina   I will confer with @Eoin and and be in touch.
Other girls may try to take me away
But you know, it's by your side I will stay

    Much-needed sanity bump.

Who is up for tomorrow night?  Some proposed topics:

    1) Selected poetry readings, by @lousubcap
    2) Minnesota not so nice?
    3) Cocktail bourbons vs neat bourbons: where is the line?
    4) Why the Grateful Dead cannot be the best American band

Haha.  #4 was prompted by a discussion I spotted on social media recently, talking about how there's really not an American analog to say the Beatles or the Rolling Stones or Led Zeppelin.  Those three bands are routinely considered some of the very best of all time, and ... they're all British.

Anyway, I'll leave the rest of the discussion for tomorrow night.  It just seemed to me that there might be some strong opinions amongst our members on this particular topic.

I'm in and plan to surface around 2030 (8:30 PM) EDT.  Don't hold your breath for the readings.  If anyone has any preferred poetry please PM me so I can practice.   B)

If you add ice to bourbon - does that make it a cocktail bourbon?  Asking for a friend.

I'm a fan obviously and have seen them several times in concert.  But they're not in the same league as The Beatles, Zeppelin, etc.  I don't think they're even in the conversation.

Anyway I've said enough.  I'll leave the rest for the Zoom session.
