Sold as a 'slow roast', so ran it for 2hrs 45 and up to 180 IT, with apple chips for smoke.

Looking out for maximum BGE protection I would go with rear seat behind the passenger but make sure the baby seat weight is good for the BGE and the seat is correctly positioned. I'm guessing forward facing will be okay. But aren't you in the med appliances business...😎
One other choice is to can the Jetta and rent a serious SUV for the trip. But I would still go with the rear seat option. FWIW-
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint. -
