Back a ways during the colder months, @piney and i had a Butt Blast Sub-committee top secrete meeting in the hills of North Carolina. What came out of that was a unsanctioned (by the CHUBB Committee) recommendation and adoption of the official song of Butt Blast. Risking expulsion and further sanctions of the committee.....I bring you David Allan Coe and the Dakota the Dancing Bear......the official unsanctioned song of Butt Blast IIII

It seems most states have some restrictions on the inter/intrastate movement of firewood. It wasn't an issue I was aware of until a couple years ago when I got my KBQ and was discussing firewood sources on another forum.

Although an entirely different reason (climate change), the next time you are in Colorado, specifically the RMNP, check out the damage the Pine Bark Beetle has done.
Millions of dead pine trees because it no longer gets cold enough, long enough, to kill the beetles, in the winter, as it had once done to keep their population in check. (-7F for 5 consecutive days)

@YukonRon Great PSA post above. I can personally attest to the incredible damage the Emerald Ash Borer has done to the ash tree population. Since arriving in Michigan in 2002 it has been relentless. There is no local predator.

I have to tell you, I have had to take down some beautiful, very old Ash trees for that very reason. I had 8 at my last home, all 45 years old or more, due to the bug.
