@SGH disappeared about the time his *****mas thread got tanked, maybe he got a Time-out?
Perhaps however, he has contacts here thru other communication methods who would gladly act as frictionless conduits to deliver his message. Whatever-

He accidently stuck the temp probe into the ground instead of the meat and it's stuck at 55 degrees.

From one Paw Paw to another, any time spent doing things with grand children is precious - now for you and later for her, no matter how expectations may not have been met with the current enterprise. And as you know, another opportunity to be Paw Paw to your granddaughter will provide more memories to savor.

It’s a new dish Scottie.  Clay encrusted steamed brisket.  Travis is probably proud.

Good lesson for Bre.  Doesn't matter how many times you get knocked down, only matters how many times you get back up.

In a flash of brilliance, @SGH just realized his Trump holiday thread got the ultimate buffalo treatment.  Likely in serious withdrawl.  May need an intervention or perhaps not possible given the Trumpese shutdown.  =)
I have always supported the Buffalo. But killing my holiday thread is unforgivable.

He forgot where he buried it
I have honestly forgot a brisket in one of my units before. Found it months after the fact. Looked like maggot pie.

About 4 hours into the cook and heavy rain rolled in. It has rained pretty steady ever since. When the rain finally quits and the mud dries up, I will dig it up and post a pic of the muddiest brisket that you have ever seen. Looking at the forecast the brisket will probably stay buried at least another 3-4 days.
    First, glad you're okay!
And who knows, you may discover a whole new brisket craze, like the guy who first buried rotting cabbage and got kimchee, the guy who first let his juice ferment and got wine, the guy who first let his wine ferment and got vinegar, and of course the guy who first ate a raw oyster.
    Post the results!
