I figure I have another 8 to 10 years working in the salt mines before I start drawing on retirement.  Let me qualify that with (1) I'm still alive, and (2) the world isn't apocalyptic (3) the Mississippi delta here isn't under water (4) oxygen levels support mammalian life

So this place is/can be a resource for starting a business, post-era my real-job career.  Sky is the limit.  I'm thinking building some CNC equipment and making something.  Digitizing complex wood spiral staircase parts and rapidly carving them for contractors, or maybe making fancy grills.  Leverage my tech skills and interests into something that makes a little money and keeps my heart beating.  Something like that.

I'm going to keep my wood shop behind my house.  I've moved most of what I planned on moving years ago. 

I just got of the phone with Henrik (previous owner and friend).   He is on the beach in Denmark watching the seals.  We talked for a while and he's trying to figure it out too.  He said he won't be back in the USA until sometime in 2020.  He rented a nice beach house in Port Elizabeth starting in Oct.  Then back to Denmark for xmas.

Great suggestions.  I had come up with, simply, "NOLAEGGHEAD"....then thought, why not "Wooden Dildos and Things" and "D!ck Fil-A".  But the "butt" theme intrigues me.

Me too! my 13 year old pump is gone.

FYI, I've had better luck with Home Depot on appliances as they handle warranty issues instead of referring you to the manufacturer rep.

@nolaegghead congrats on taking over the space! Buttworks does have a nice ring... kind of conjures up skunkworks. I’d get some insurance so when the drunks break in and start a fire you’re covered, then go from there that is an awesome spot.

Just bought my "venturing into the q world" son a Lavatools Javelin PT 12 instant read thermo.  He managed to break a prior gifted thermo-pop.  I learned about that when I inquired as to how he was gonna nail the finish on a couple of SRF black grade top sirloins he was gifted for his birthday.
