@lkapigian - Now that is quite a rig.  Congrats.  Your business must be growing at quite a rate.  Doing it up right.
When is the expected delivery date?
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

No doubt and it is just a hair over 6' tall.. Stump is no longer affiliated with the company...his daughter started a new company and he is helping her

I built this “Stumps” clone, and it was one hell of a cooker!  Very efficient on a 18# load of briquettes, and some smoking wood for flavor.  I put a Flameboss 300 on it before selling to a buddy!

  • Thanks@lkapigian.  It cooked a lot of ribs or butts, as that’s a 14 x 20 hotel pan on the shelf. I played around with the lower baffle  design till I got the temps very consistent.  Only charged my buddy $1500, as he furnished the controller. He cooks for a lot of people, so it makes sense for him and turns out some good Q!

@littlerascal56 , your Flameboss mounts/stands are really intriguing!
I'm trying to figure out some kind of holder for my Smobot, smobot controller, smobot battery, dangling wires, and the Daisy wheel which I still need to snuff the fire at the end.  Someday....

  • Surprising SWMBO with touchdown club tickets for Texas's opening game next weekend.   She likes her A/C when its hot at football games.  Also, a ticket for myself for the LSU/Texas game the following weekend.  Didn't think football season would ever get here.

September games down south can be brutal on the player and the fans. Enjoy the game in luxury.

I totally agree.  That's one reason why she didn't want to go to the LSU game.  Prices are pretty high and its going to be toasty.

If you have never been to a Saturday night game in Baton Rouge.....(not sure where they play), its worth the trip. A good time unless you get your butt wipped.

  • We are playing them in Austin this year and there next year.  I think we are planning on going.  The future schedules for Texas look great.  All home and homes.  Michigan, Georgia, Bama, and Notre Dame.

Locking down the hardwood floor installer to install before we move in. I'm actually surprised how affordable solid hardwoods are compared to Engineered.

If it’s naildown, take a day off of work and watch those bastards put every nail in that floor. I built a house in South Carolina years ago. Spec called for nailing every six inches. They got slack and nailed it 9-12”. The floors separated so bad I could see the subfloor. The builder had to rip out 2800sq ft of hardwoods and replace them. It was a nightmare for everyone involved.

2 actually. Not really worried. I don’t care if they scratch it because we are getting hand scraped with provincial finish so nothing is gonna show anyways. As far as doing their business, they are house trained.

Ya I will be taking 1 of the days off to watch them. I went and looked at some of the other jobs they have done and they do a good job. I felt a lot better too after talking to them and they told me they will remove my existing baseboard and reinstall as opposed to using quarter round. That to me says they care about the look of the finished product.

The guys that did mine generally do a great job. They let a newer guy run the nailgun on that particular day. After that I never trust that the “you only get one shot at it” work will be done to my level of craftsmanship without my direct involvement.
