Thanks for sharing this link. Great to see a company that thinks of more than the bottom line. Publix Super market is just down the street from us but I wish we had H-E-B in Florida.

All the more reason I am a HEB on-line customer and will be for the duration.  You can't fake genuine planning and execution.  They had done the heavy lifting in advance and thus had the foundation in place.  When necessary they called the audibles to keep making progress.  That link and story is the way more need to respond.  "Da-n the torpedoes, full speed ahead."

I don't think the article mentioned it, but the HEB DRUs (Disaster Relief Units) have mobile pharmacies and ATMs . Many people are without their medications at this time.

The flooded HEB store in the linked story is the one my boss goes to in Kingwood TX.  Boss only had a foot of water in his house.

It amazes me when such catastrophe hits our fellow man and woman that anybody could politicize it. It's disgusting. I'm happy for any and all anybody can donate or give physical help to the victims of this storm or other storms, fires, etc. So please don't get it twisted I promise you I'm not "that guy".

It is actually a personal donation from HEB's CEO.  They really stepped up as a company, and it is clear that it comes from the top.
