Both those and the pork belly tacos were a little involved, but worth it.

Addendum to the tortilla recipe per the wife. ...2 Tablespoons of butter melted and added to the mixture and stir in. Regular milk can be used, but the original recipe called for evaporated milk. We use whole milk.

Depressed. NCBB has raised cooking and fun to a level, unknown to mere mortals, such as myself. Last nights cook, while probably the best I have ever cooked, was mundane in comparison to the 2016 NC2B.tarheelmatt said:

Not mine anymore. Bought one several years ago, sold shortly thereafter, for what I paid for it. Cool vehicle, but not in my wheelhouse. Can't put a lot of camping gear in it, and does not carry much lump.
I thought the 348 would represent the days left to the next NC2B. Been waiting to post it."Knowledge is Good" - Emil Faber

That is a great festival. The only one I think is even remotely close is the one in NorCal. NOLA Jazz Fest is on a whole different level. Enjoy, my friend.nolaegghead said:I knew what you meant, Ron. At Jazz Fest currently. Carry on, gents."Knowledge is Good" - Emil Faber

I am dealing with a sprained big toe, turf toe, if you will. Cutting my grass and pushing my mower up the hill, heard and felt a pop. Finished cutting the grass but have not walked much since.

Sounds like you need to consume some bourbon slushies to help the process. You were out mowing in this weather-have your trusty snorkel with you

Yep, it's like icing the toe from the inside. Definitely calls for bourbon slushie!Chicago, IL - Large and Small BGE - Weber Gasser and Kettle

bourbon slushies, the way we packed them in foodsaver bags and frozen, would be perfect to be placed on my foot, for sure."Knowledge is Good" - Emil Faber

Frozen baby peas on the foot. Bourbon slush on the gullet.
Yikes!

Where was the pop? Can you actively move the toe? I've only seen a spontaneous flexor tendon rupture in the great toe a few times in 20 years of Sports Medicine / Orthopaedics. For turf-toe type sprain, you typically kick a fixed object or get stepped on by someone.....
If the toe doesn't flex, get it looked at ASAP! If its more down in the foot, like under the ball of the foot or in the arch area, more than likely a plantar fascia sprain/tear. Hurts like hell, but will get better on its own.
