This may be the most intuitive "throwdown post" I've seen on a forum yet. Wish I had my egg already!

Although I'm getting a kick out of the fun going on the http://eggheadforum.com/discussion/1182350/official-pizza-throwndown-thread#latest
Please limit that thread to actual cooks. This includes non egged pizza and (apparently it has to be said) old cooks. For those please post here on the unofficial thread otherwise the Official Thread will become slow and it'll make it more difficult for folks when it comes to voting. Thanks y'all. I'm happy with the turnout thus far. Keep em coming. And for the record...This TD theme was my bride's idea and I give her that credit @HuskerMaMa
There are some real good looking pies coming in.

@jeremiah sorry you had a sh!t week, but that post is funny as hell!
BTW, I've been there on both counts. I nearly dumped my pie over the edge of the stone and burned the crap out of my fingers saving it. -

Hey guys, thought I would throw one up here for you to see.
"Drunken Duck and Date Woodfired Pizza" (it's a margarita pizza so it's kind of a play on words;)
It starts with home made dough - combination of "00" and pastry flour Napoleon style recipe.
Home made pesto with garden basil , lemon, toasted pine nuts, fresh parm, salt, pepper and lemon.
Layer as follows: Dough with cornmeal underlay, pesto, Fresh buffalo mozzerella , basil leaves, slow roasted duck leg (on egg) and raw sliced dates.
Set on a hot stone at 650F for 12 mins rotating a few times .
Topped with roasted garlic cloves, cut and served! -
-
You should throw that on the official thread @Squarehook ! Looks really good manXL, Medium BGE & Blackstone I XAR-Woo2 & Rig-BO I Flameboss 500St. Louis, MO

Just took a look at the official pizza throw down entries. Jesus! They are great, but I realized that I'm probably scoped out of all future throw downs. These things have gotten way too advanced for me. Entrants are posting dozens of pics in collages. I can barely take a single non-blurry picture on my blackberry, never mind create collages. What happened to the days where throw downs had strict rules around # of pics, and those pics weren't accompanied by short stories selling the cook? If I do jump in to the throw down game again, and somehow happen to win, I'll create some back to basics rules for sure!Ajax, ON Canada(XL BGE, MED BGE, La Caja China #2, and the wife's Napoleon gasser)

Just scrolled the throw down thread, there are some great pies on there, some funny stories (thx and sorry @Jeremiah) and some really creative people. I'm going to troll this one for a while for ideas.
We made pizza here last night, had friends over and my daughter came into town with a bunch of her friends. We just laid out a bunch of toppings and let them have at it. We were making small, thin pizzas and must've cooked 20. I took one picture. One.
Needless to say, no entry from me, but it was a blast. Pizza is probably the most fun & social cook you can do, everyone can get involved and I get to avoid the chaos inside for the solitude of my egg and beer outside.
Here's the pic with my friend thinking shoving his hand into a 550 degree egg with his yeti tumbler of Jack and coke is a good idea just to get in the pic. That hair will grow back and the ice didn't melt.

Bacon wrapped bananas going on a pizza! Figured I'd go with something a little off the norm. The masses liked it that's for sure...Twitter: @MightyQuinn_13
