If you own a dog you will sometimes have to chain it up or put in a kennel. I laugh at the people who have a problem with that.

My son has a gerbil. His name is whiskey. We rescued him from someone who was going to return him to the pet store. I couldn't bear the thought of him being put back in the pool of hopeful pets. Man, my phone died before I even got to the airport yesterday. I missed so much! I have the worst luck! On the flip side, it was so late when we got home I couldn't really prepare myself properly for this thread.
Oh well, it's still Saturday.
@shannonlcorum as far as the folks arguing, most of the main instigators, err, contributors actually know each other and talk outside the forum. Don't sweat it. This is entertainment, not real life.
Edit: about a month after I got my egg, I turned my table over and it all spilled out inches from the retaining wall. The only casualty was the ceramic cap. I was shaking like a leaf. I was nearly devastated. -

Well this morning, the same pup who killed my egg has shredded my hostas. I didn't put him on his chain this morning. I let him run loose in yard--I have a privacy fence, he's not getting out unless of course he eats a hole in the fence, which at this point, wouldn't surprise me. My last bulldog ate the metal mesh out of my fire pit. Did I mention Bulldogs are destructive? @shannonlcorum check bout havahart for wireless fence you can shape. You have to have enough space between obstacles and they make it kinda hard to buy because the interview you, but it's pretty cool. I couldn't use it because of layout, but have the regular circle unit from them. Works great. Keeps my lab on and they are stubborn and destructive as well as pups.
