Just left the house to catch up on a project at work before going to bed.  Water over the road.  There is a current flowing across my driveway.  Looks like it will not end soon.  It hit 60 here today.  The ground was already saturated.  Now all the snow is melting and it has been raining nonstop.  Basement is staying dry!  If I lose power, I will be finding a generator right quick to keep sump pump working.

Current flow in to the crock:

My last house had three sump pumps.

    1 standard

1 on battery back up set to go on if water rose 3 inchs above the set height for 1st pump- good for 3hrs run time.  Used a standard car battery so could swap batteries in a pinch.

1 on precut pipe with quick disconnect ready to swap in if one pump burns up.

Did I mention I have a "water in my house" phobia? I hate hate hate water where it is not supposed to be.

Stay dry, looks like you have a pretty steady flow!!

Watching the women’s downhill.  For the skiers out there would that run be considered a bunny slope or double black diamond or something else?
I would consider it a single Black Diamond.  However, it's badly icy and I wouldn't enjoy taking it myself, at all.

Great guy, had some fun. Lucky to be his friend.
    Did y’all share a blanket?
No, but I did try to get him a drink. He had a big day in store for him, and declined, like the fine gentleman he is.

  • Sitting here having a beer listening to the wind. Was 75°, supposed to be 35° tomorrow.  Had dinner with my wife’s sisters and aunt tonight. Had to call hospice for my mother in law and had last rights today. Reflecting on the meaning of life and what’s important. Proabably not something you think about on a Tuesday night. We had a great dinner and drinks telling great stories. It’s a shame something like has to happen to get everyone together.

Very cool! I wouldn't downsize it.  Nobody wants to drive an Aveo.

  • Man that’s a good looking plate of some good eats. I know it’s early, but what month do you usually plan brisket camp. Trying already to get time off work for it.

Got back to L'ville around 30 minutes ago after starting the day running into @YukonRon as he noted.  He is a Southwest high-flier; as in the #1 person to board this AM.  Meanwhile the rest of flew in the same first-class cabin.  And yes it was one of those days.
Nothing like and out-and-back with a day of meetings in between.  But all's well that ends well.
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

Out-and-back on the same day is a good day. Make it home safe and head to LEO.
