@HeavyG thanks for the info.  I had been there earlier but was hoping to find a feed w/o serving up big data more info.  Can't get there I guess.  Caught the end but it wasn't pretty.  Thanks-

This is far and away your single best post ever! Nice work, even if it’s not yours.  =)

Hung up a rope swing in our side yard.  This project took a little longer than expected.

Just put the butts on, brisket will be added a bit later as it will sit up top and cook faster. Dome temp is reading 270*, bottom grid, 215*.

@DMW great groceries await.  Those look like some pretty healthy butts and I'm with you on the brisket over butt cook set-up.  It seems to need more care and feeding during the cook and top-shelf makes easier access.
Dang- What a menu for Sunday.  Most eggcellent, as always.

@Ozzie_Isaac - I have definitely failed to recognize right answer when shown/told.  Maybe next match will make prime time ;)

Thought i I would share this. A camp on stilts several miles out in the Gulf. Land is not in sight in any direction. Must be nice to have that kind of money.

Just threw down a 1 pound tuna steak shared with my wife and son. 1 min per side on cast iron. Black/white sesame and teriyaki. It was damn good.

I couldn't actually watch.  It is way to intense for me.  Almost passed out from holding my breath.  That is not a joke either.

It is not live, its recorded.  I prefer my drinking games live.  Still think NBC failed.

    @SGH that’s nuts
The money it cost to put down the pilings is astronomical. Probably 10 times more than the cost of the camp.

@SGH Some folks bought Frying Pan Tower that’s 34 miles offshore and turned it into a bed and breakfast

Wonder how long those stilts are that that house is built on?

Well, there's no way NBC can please everyone by showing all matches/events live at the same time via tv/cable.

They have been making all events live via the web and I've found that to be trouble free - unlike the PITA that ESPN can be at times with tennis grand slam events.

Still a lot more curling tonight!

Tomorrow the US men play Norway at 1600EST and that is supposed to be on CNBC so may be easier for some to watch.

I'm just bytching to bytch.  I do hate all the air time wasted on special interest stories.  Show the sports, not somebody's life story.  Put that stuff online for those interested.

@HeavyG  Here's what is scheduled for the live Sunday Mens curling with the USA:  6:05 AM Men's Curling, Round Robin, USA v NOR  No clue who or where fed/broadcast.
That fits as you know Korea is USA EST + 14 hours.  I wish me luck.
Thanks for the alertment of the short match turnaround.

Pork belly burnt ends came out pretty good.  Won’t be a regular thing but with some sauce tuning and such could become a crowd pleaser.

Sorry, I should have said that the match on CNBC wasn't live. Yeah the live coverage is at 0605 via the web.

Here's a link to the curling schedule via the official Olympic website which  makes it easier to see when the US curling team is playing:  https://www.olympic.org/pyeongchang-2018/results/en/curling/daily-schedule.htm

    Definite winner right there.  Congrats.
Not sure where the flavor or texture moved you to put them outside the rotation but your call.

Too sweet (tried to stick to Malcom Reid’s recipe) made some audibles (apricot jam instead of apple, blues hog for the sauce).  I think something like a jalamango or other wing type sauce would kill it for my taste.  Texture was awesome, I put them under the broiler for a bit will tossing to get the sauce really carmelized and crunchy outside.

@DMW - what is that rub on the brisket as I'm always looking for the brisket rub holy grail and and am not even close.  Any insights appreciated.
BTW- I'm guessing you are running manual as controller rigs for the XXL haven't hit the market??
Enjoy the cook and follow-on banquet.
