Couple meat loads for the cul de sac pot luck and gift exchange

Rested my second turbo butt cook while I went shopping for a couple of gifts.
Pulled with two forks and added Maurice's Vinegar sauce. Now warming in oven while SWMBO does other chores before we eat sandwiches.
Pulled out the bark for snacks later, well I did try two pieces. Yum.
Thanks for looking.

Made cookies with my daughter and my daughter from another family I kept them in appetizers and drinks while they worked.
I made my wife some chicken breasts and Brussels sprouts for supper - the girls went out with friends.

Large BGE & Mini Max for the wok. A few old camp Dutch ovens and a wood fired oven. LSG 24” cabinet offset smoker. There are a few paella pans and a Patagonia cross in the barn. A curing chamber for bacterial transformation of meats...
"Bourbon slushies. Sure you can cook on the BGE without them, but why would you?"

Took the boys to see the last Jedi earlier. Beer and recliners are a bad combo if you actually want to watch the movie.

@SciAggie - Better to be lucky than good any day...Great evening right there. Teasers and dinner look great... like that's a surprise?? Congrats. BTW- have they been exposed to any of your truly signature paella cooks?? If so, then I doubt they would ever leave.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

They call them heated seats ... because rear defroster was already taken.

@lousubcap Thanks. The “adopted” daughter has not had paella with me yet. I look forward to a chance to make that for her though.Coleman, Texas

Challenging myself to remain in LEO as the pull of an escape velocity ride is quite strong. I would eagerly take the journey except the outer limits are not defined and given the Saturday challenges, I just have to throttle back. The opportunity will be around soon.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

@NPHuskerFL My wife insisted the cookies be baked in the house. I begged until she let me cook one batch in the wood oven - couldn’t tell the difference. It was a small but satisfying victory.Coleman, Texas

Well, the salad my wife put together was beautiful and delicious:
The sweet potato pear soup was excellent:
The Hasselback potatoes were spot on:
But the Beef Wellington, well, that looked like crap:
I can't believe it actually tasted incredible. Presentation was 0 for 10, but it ate good.
We had fun:
One of the white elephant gifts was a hairy belly fanny pack. That made me laugh.
Got to hold my friends' little guy for a bit. He was about to fall asleep:
One of my buddies brought a gift I got him for his 40th birthday. It was really good:
We have some cleanup to do tomorrow...
Posting from my office, as we have friends staying the night in the basement:
They only have a thin walled metal smoker that doesn't really work all that well in winter. So, they have two briskets on my XL for their family Christmas gathering tomorrow. One full packer and one just a flat. We'll check on them in the morning and adjust accordingly.They/Them

@DMW- great banquet and pics. Definitely a great time.
BTW- how do you like the Argyle? I find it a sleeper and would not have ever tried their grapes had it not been for connections thru a friend.
