Turkey breast with honey/butter/rub over carrots, squash, sweet potatoes.  Nice, but lacked flavor internally.  Should've brined and added some smoke with one this size.

Try a dry brine next time for penetration.  Zest of lemon, salt, herbs, pepper.

Sitting in a car showroom. Buddy bought a new (to him) car and I drove him to get it.  Could it be 5-10 miles away? Nope. 127 miles door to door. The drive did not bother me, but doing it in the rain did.  I hate driving in the rain!

First cook with my replacement base for the XL, I had delivered today. Baby backs, smoked with peach, low and slow, smoked beans, and smoked Mac and cheese. Threw in a bottle of chard, because I can.

Sept 18, but who's counting. North Georgia is on fire, literally. Smell smoke every low humidity morning. See smoke from 1 fire to the east, one to the west.

Just pulled on the garage.  Safe trip, no traffic coming home and very little rain.  Just a steady mist for about 100 miles.  Last 50 were clear. (Going up we were both at work which is 20 miles closer to where we had to go.)
