Just had a family intervention called that will involve a healthy road-trip and the missing of National Chicken Wing Day Friday, 7/29 and who knows what else.  So in my absence enjoy wing day and all the great variations of wings.  I know this will not be a fun time but away we go...

I let Microsoft install windows 10 on work laptop overnight. Just a flashing blue screen now and can't log in.  Two hours before I leave for bike trip. Just trying to wrap up some work.

If you're comfortable, try this. It's usually an incompatible app or display driver that causes this issue. This solution can work too

. Open Task Manager, click File > Run new task, type ‘msconfig’ without quotes and press enter

    2. Click on ‘Services’ tab, find two services named ‘Problem Reports and Solution Control Panel ‘and ‘Windows Error Reporting Service‘ (check the screenshot below), uncheck them to disable, if Windows prompts you for a restart, do it.

System Configuration Services tab Windows 10

    3. After the restart, hopefully your screen may not flash.

If that doesn't work, Norton make a utility that will try to fix the issue as well, but you'll need to install it on a thumbdrive and then re-boot into safe mode (with networking) to install it

You need to run Screen_Fix tool released by Norton in Safe mode with networking option, for that,

    1. Since your screen is flickering you may not able to open other programs, but you can access Task Manager by using ‘Ctrl+Shift +Esc’ keyboard shortcut

    2. Once Task Manager appears, click File > Run new task, type msconfig and press enter

    3. In the System configuration dialog window, click on ‘Boot’ tab, check ‘Safe boot ‘ and select ‘Network’.

    4. When you’re prompted to restart your computer, click ‘restart’,

    5. Now Download the fix tool, save to your computer, right click on it and select ‘Run as administrator’

    6. Now opening system configuration utility by typing ‘msconfig’ without quotes in the Run dialog box

    7.  Uncheck ‘Safe Boot’ in Boot tab and restart your computer in normal mode.

    Good Luck! Hope this helps

Waving bye bye to the AC repair man. Downstairs unit went out, but, thankfully, we're back up and running. It's been in the 100's off and on for about a week. Thought we were going to have to start drinking early. :s

I would just power it down and then turn it back on and let it run. I just upgraded my old netbook from Win7 to Win10 last week and the whole process stretched over two days. Seemed like it was doing nothing for the longest time but eventually it sorted itself out.

If your worried about running out of time you could just go ahead and make an iso disc and then upgrade from that whenever.

They came up into the crowd and did a tribute to Ali, next section over, 20 feet from where we sat. We were about 60 feet and 1 row up from the stage. Totally agree on show, I have never seen so much color and lights in any event ever. Super high energy from beginning to end.
