Whaaaaa?  That’s nuts!  Good thing modern medicine can sew those heads right back on the neck!

Yeah. There's more to the story and even video of it. It's truly effed up and I'm sickened for the family and all they had to deal with.

Just got back from a "Taxes in Retirement" seminar.  While my dude at Fidelity Investments has done a great job for me regarding my mutual funds, he hasn't been guiding me at all wrt taxes.  Got some paperwork to fill out tomorrow and schedule/pay for a one-on-one.

@WeberWho I had a shady looking guy pointing his finger at me under similar circumstances, I can’t imagine what you went through that’s some **** up **** man.

In all honestly I didn't have much time to react. In that millisecond I looked over and saw him sighting in the gun and my mind went to someone sighting in a gun at the range, to "Oh f*ck that's pointed right at us". All in a matter of a second or two. It was strange to say the least. Unless that guy was that big of a moron to sight in a gun near a road towards traffic. It just didn't make any sense.

@WeberWho I hope you called the cops!  That guy need behavior modification and his gun taken away, although I doubt that will happen if he has it legally.

You'll are nervous nancies.  I have had 3 guns pulled on me, been in one knife fight, and a fist-a-cuffs in the middle of the street during a red light.  That is over the course of about 3 decades though, so not as bad as it sounds.

    Holy hand grenade!!

Jared (FroKnowsFoto) did a quick "photographer's critique" of the "royal photos" here.  I can't take the guy too seriously but he is mildly amusing and sometimes brings up some good points.  (he also hawks his PS presets here, you've been warned).  Posted for photo geeks only.

I was on a city street. I think with years of riding a motorcycle I'm constantly watching or looking what's around me. (Probably just undiagnosed ADD. Ha!) I could have easily driven by and not noticed a thing. That's what is so strange. There was nothing to provoke it. I've driven by this place thousands of times and in a nice area that doesn't necessarily fit what took place this evening. Super strange.

I once asked a lady out on a date and she pulled a gun on me.  I think it was because I said hey let’s go to Hooters?

Combined a few different recipes and threw some egg bites in the hot tub - first time...we'll see how it goes.

No idea, I haven't experienced it.  But I've had the same happen to me on websites (news, forums, etc) that I pay extra not to see ads, yet they still find their way through.

Better question for the Flame Boss himself, @MichaelCollins

Please tell me off of a water well or pumped in via truck. Can’t imagine filling off of a city feed. And then getting to pay “treatment” on 10’s of thousands of gallons of water

City / municipal water.  It will cost about $300 to fill the 45,000 gallon pool. My last bill was $0.06 a gallon for water / sewer. The well that we have right next to the pool is extremely high in iron content and it takes about a week to get the orange out of the water. This is a bargain. The water's clear. I just checked last summer's water bill and in the months of April May and June we used 332,000 gallons of water. That didn't even include a pool fill because it was 3/4 full through the winter.  Campers use a lot of water.

Ventured to Duluth, MN for the weekend. Looking for some American staples. Heard Duke's mayo is at Wal-Mart here, will see. Picked up some Elija Craig rye for tonight, so far so good. Also found chik-fil-a sauces and Grillo pickles. Anything else any Canadians stock up in while in the US?

For a moment I could not determine why, despite this tumultuous season still bubbling like a cauldron - did I feel a little empty.  The title is probably going to City, but still work to do and therefore opportunities to slip up. Only Southampton are certainly down which leaves four teams fighting over the two last spaces on the trap door. Then it hit me; a whole weekend without a coronation. How will I cope?

    Saturday

Leeds v Newcastle, not looking great for Leeds and the Red Adair of football, Big Sam Allardyce.  Toon are laser focused on Champions League qualiifcation and will be in no mood for favours towards their former leader; Big Sam. A fraught, tetchy and possibly blood stained 0-1.

Villa v Spurs, recent flatline in results has blunted Villa’s ‘out of nowhere’ charge for Europe but a win puts them back in spitting distance.  And it’s Spurs they face, so it could be on or it could be over.  Spurs?  What are you like? 2-1

Chelsea v Forest, miracles do happen.  Super Frank got his first win for the Chels last time out, just the 6 failures beforehand.  Forest are teetering on the brink of doom and even a point could be significant for them.  They have been hapless on the road, though. 1-1 just for the muddle factor please.

Palace v Bournemouth, nothing riding on this in terms of relegation or Europe. An away win takes the Cherries above the mighty Eagles and that will anger the cosmos, because 12th place is ours. So, if only to sustain equilibrium 2-0

Man Utd v Wolves, two defeats have made Utd’s top four status shaky meaning they have something to play for.  Wolves haven’t and will likely parade around in flip-flops applauding the fans while planning their holidays in Dubai. 2-0

Southampton v Fulham, technically Saints can stay up. They won’t. Defeat in this one consignss them to relegation.  Fulham have little to play for but managed five goals last week.  If Saints score early they could hold out and delay the inevitable. 1-0

    Sunday

Brentford v West Ham, the Hammers have all but assured their PL status and remain in a Euro competition, so it’s not looking like a terrible season - just a very very long one.  Where it all takes them no-one knows. The Bees won’t roll over but also have nothing to fire their loins. Tepid draw. 0-0

Everton v Man City, the Toffees did the unimaginable last week and look set to be banished from public consciousness as they dared to beat the Filthy Seagulls, and comprehensively too. Naturally there was a media black-out and general public denial about it.  So, all is good right - well, no. Still in peril and City have ten straight wins behind them, they will carry that on as they march to the title. 0-2

Arsenal v Brighton,  the Gunners have found form again to create the illusion of a fighting spirit, having relinquished the PL leadership.  Naturally I would prefer a 32-0 humiliation of the Filthy Seagulls but other than there being goals, I am not certain which way it will fall. So, 3-2.

    Monday

Leicester v Liverpool, even the Foxes don’t believe they can pull clear of the drop zone. Five straight wins have resurrected the Reds’ season and Europe looks more than likely afetrall. It won’t be candy from a baby - but not far off. 0-2

That’s your lot, I need to go laminate the Charles face mask I have worn all week and seek a chiropractor after all my bowing and stooping.
