I stumbled across a couple videos on the Savannah Banana's baseball team a few weeks ago. What a trip! It's a mashup of a circus and baseball mixed together. If you like baseball or have young kids I highly recommend checking out a live game on YouTube. The rules are a little different than MLB. Foul balls caught by fans are an out, bunting automatically gets you ejected, batters can steal first, along with a few other fun and crazy rules. It's more of show than baseball but I can appreciate the show they put on. They have college players to retired MLB players. It's a pretty fun watch and cool seeing kids enjoying the game!

The Savannah Bananas are the best thing to happen to baseball. I say that as baseball being my favorite sport.

Here's my go to for lifting/flipping big hunk of meat. Although in your case you'll still need to press the legs against the spatula and flip gently.

Baseball is my LEAST favorite sport, but I'd love to see a Banana game.

If you haven't already, go see a Harlem Globetrotters game if you can. Fun for kids of all ages.

I love baseball, but I will admit bog snorkeling or buzkashi is pretty entertaining too.

What do you think about cockfighting?  I only recently discovered it involves roosters.  Twenty years of training down the drain!

Those were dismembered with tongs.  I think a knife would have been better.  When I flipped them the legs came off like Mark 48 torpedoes  headed towards a Typhon Class Russian sub.
@Ozzie_Isaac - I liked your post because of your mention of Mark 48 torpedo. As a young, lowly TM4 surface sailor I was transferred to shore duty at the Naval Ordinance Test Unit, PAFB, FL in 1971.  The Navy's Torpedo MK-48 Selection Test Program of the Westinghouse and the Gould versions of the torpedo was held there. I worked on many aspects of the eventual winner, Gould Ocean Systems. Dang I am getting old. EDIT - Forgot to mention that all the members of both teams received a copy of the Meritorious Unit Commendation signed by Chief of Naval Operations E.R. Zumwalt

Just finished retorquing (all due to horse scratches) my Kentucky Derby investment for the third time in around 14 hours.  I'm finished now.  I have never seen so many late scratches in a Triple Crown race.

@Ragingirishman2 - Congrats to your daughter and the family for the support to achieve that milestone.
Another upside besides the achievement is the realization that the tuition, fees room and board etc expenses stop.  That is quite nice!

Awesome story. Coming full circle, the reason e we moved to Nevada was because I got a job as a contractor in Hawthorne, NV demilitarizing MK-48’s.

@Battleborn- "Demilitarizing MK-48's??  Would be interested in a bit of the backstory as that torpedo is still the primary submarine launched torpedo today.

@Battleborn - did you mean the MK46 surface ship launched torpedo that was replaced by the MK54?

I don’t know, probably. It wasn’t anything I ever attached to a jet. Job was supposed to last 2 years, but the military decided that they didn’t want to fund it anymore after 4 months.
