The hour has elapsed. We shall all wait and see how this is adjudicated.nolaegghead said:I hope Pete doesn’t lose his dealer status, all I wanted and asked for was for my name to be deleted above this post. Seems like we are sailing into "The time has come when we must part" waters here. And over what??

At the risk of getting this back on track…sitting in the vet’s office waiting for 2 cats to be checked on and get shots. Starting to plan out what I’ll cook for myself while SWMBO and SWMBO Jr are in NC in a few weeks.

Long range planning with the window to acquire the goods in gonna yield great results. I would keep the deliverables scheduled for their first day traveling. But I am confident you have this all gamed out and on a solo CC.Better to be lucky than good.

Well this is silly. Between my full name showing up in a signature line and a forum pic that puts a chihuahua in a Duke uniform, it seems I have acquired something of a creepy forum fan. Gross.
I leave the place for a trip overseas and all heLL breaks loose…
Some pics from today:

The main auditorium where they show films at Cannes, early today before our festivities got started.
The view of the Mediterranean from the conference balcony.
My ticket to the dinner tonight - just got back. It was an incredible meal. Any time there are multiple Ferraris parked out in front of a hotel you know you’re in a halfway decent spot!"I've made a note never to piss you two off." - Stike

Ferrari may be the Toyota/Honda for the neighbourhood (nod) you are enjoying. Likely a few Lambos and Aston Martins cruising around-Porsches too pedestrian for that scene.Better to be lucky than good but gotta start street peddling some attendees.

I assumed this was one of your lectures, both based on the size of the crowd and the man yawning (highlighted). 😂

My talk is scheduled for the last session on the last day, so safe to say I’ll be happy with an audience that size.GrateEggspectations said:@johnincarolina

Had a cousin who lived in Gary. I stayed with him for a week and shadowed him at the steel mill. Was an amazing experience. Scale is unbelievable.kl8ton said:

Size and amount of heat. All that huge molten and formed steel. I could not believe the size, dirt, smells, sounds, and heat. Everything turned up to 11.kl8ton said:

When PBS Newshour finishes, I usually hit the TV Guide thingie to see what else is on, but usually turn the TV off at that point. Tonight, I saw a 90th Birthday Celebration of Carol Burnette, on NBC. I've been glued to the TV since.
Some of it is schmaltz, but the old clips of the show have had me crying I'm laughing so hard, what an incredible lineup! I don't remember some of the great duets she did (she was an incredible singer), especially her duet with Ray Charles. Vickie Lawrence showed up (she looks great too), and so did Cher (I know she's 85% plastic at this point, but she must be nearly as old as Carol and she looks, wow).
Am enjoying a TV show; been a long time since I've done that. Carol is a National Treasure.
EDIT: Interesting Trivia fact: number of costumes designed for the Carol Burnette Show: 17,000!

I did have a nightmare last night of being chased down the street by a mob of angry clowns wielding plastic lawn darts and empty Papa Murphys boxes. The only thing that let me escape is that people wearing clown shoes can’t run that fast. < Shudder >Ozzie_Isaac said:
