@Battleborn - does that beer taste as good as it looks?
Yes, it is very citrusy. My convenience store has a great selection of craft beer that rotates weekly. Always something new. Mostly all west coast, obviously, because the best beers are brewed here. Here is the rest of the can.

No chance I will ever drink a beer with that much labeling junk on the can.  But I am old and trying to simplify my life, so there's that.  Enjoy Saturday!

@JohnInCarolina It's a Saturday.  Should be relatively sane to clear it all.  Nice timing  in terms of being able to jet-lag recover tonight.
I always find the jet lag is a lot easier to overcome going West.
Really?  I experience the exact opposite: one night's sleep and I'm good N. America to Europe/Middle East, but it takes two weeks to recover, coming home.

Yep.  Going west you chase the sun and just stay awake all day until you get to your destination, where you collapse from exhaustion.

While not a beer sommelier, I have lived coast to coast and west coast beer is the best. Laws be damned (LOL), I will send you a selection of my favorite.

Another for the easier adjustment West vs East-too easy relative for the clock getting ahead of you.  Every trip to Europe requires a concentrated effort to roll thru arrival day, usually 8-10 AM local time (leaving CONUS ( 8-10 PM EST/EDT) and then snap into the local time.  FWIW-

  • Just landed at JFK.  I would appreciate some thoughts and prayers as I attempt to get through customs in some reasonable amount of time…

Why do you need thoughts and prayers? Did you keister some contraband?

I’d heard it had been taking people forever to get through customs at JFK of late.  Turned out it wasn’t too bad for me.  I don’t think it took much more than an hour.

Dealing with power outage and tornado warning; second day in a row. UPS beeping away since main power went out. I connected Greenworks 80 volt, 300 watt power station for lamp and TV. Fun times. Edit- Thankfully there was no hail with this system like yesterday’s storm.
Reported the outage so hoping the trucks show up soon.

Hopefully a quick restoration.  Clearly dependent on the total outages impacted.   Regardless, it sux.
Had some pretty strong straight line winds roll thru here in March and the power was out for 4 days.

Got a text message from Florida Flicker and Flame stating power would be restored at 1:30 pm. The text came 10 seconds after the power was restored.  No truck was dispatched to the location so I guess they fixed it at their location. Beats 3 day outages for sure.

Eating leftover pizza- goat cheese, caramelized onion, balsamic reduction.

That is to left over pizza what Frank Llyod Wright is to architects.

Just aerated the back yard by hand. Did the front last week. Inefficient, but it was nice to be outside. Put down 25lbs of grass seed and probably half as much fertilizer.

The pressure is on, @TEXASBGE2018. 😁

Gotta be a tough and high pressure life living in the high-roller neighbourhoods (nod) where your lawn is periodically judged for " Lawn of the Month".  I presume winners of the monthly get automatically entered into the "Lawn of the Year" but cannot be a repeat (to ensure continued fine grooming...) and must sustain the level of appearance until the Champion is crowned.  =)
    Looks great BTW-
