Today is Pi Day which is a universal constant.  Perhaps not so well known is that it is also Steak and BJ and day so recognized on the international stage:
    Go forth and enjoy.

Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

I'm married.  I had a steak.  I cooked and cleaned up too.  If only the 19 year old me could have seen where life took me.

There is quite a bit of enjoyment from watching someone "Stare down the barrel of a one-eyed weeper."  Or by another name..."The wrist thick, rock hard, blue veined throbber."
Just a retired submarine sailor here elevating your cultural wisdom one Pi day at a time.  🇺🇸⚓️🥃
    Edit for spelling.

Conversely, if you met the 19 year old you today - would he make it to where you are now?

Read the room my friend.  You don't jump from Steak and BJ to "thawing poop".

Made a beautiful pasta sauce.  Carefully and loving browned the meat just right so there are different textures and flavors, sauted the garlic and tomatoes and seasonings.  Built layer upon layer of flavor, then added a parmesan rind to help bring out more complex flavors in the sauce.  All the flavors meld and jelled and made an absolutely mouth watering sauce.

My daughter just plopped it on her plate with the penne, then drowned it in ranch.  I asked her if she even tried it first.  "Nope, but I know ranch enhanced it.  Don't judge me."

Let me tell you, there was judging going on.  Everyone complained that I haven't made a real meal lately.  I have been slammed at work and have had no time.  Then when I do, I get treated like this?  No thank you.

And I get ticked if they reach for the salt before trying something that I made. Ranch over a bolognese? Sacrilege!

@Ozzie_Isaac, I feel your pain. And kids are a PIA. I don’t have daughters. But I buy plenty of ketchup.

Ketchup a staple in my house too. My 6 year old daughter bathes everything in ketchup.

I feel this. Our 12 year old niece is living with us currently and always has something smart to say about any food that is being served. I made Lasagna soup a few weeks ago and she said it reminded her of spaghetti O's and hamburger helper.

@Ozzie_Isaac - Your aggravation is understandable but, from prior posts it seems your daughter is high school age.  If putting ranch on fine cuisine is your biggest issue I call you fortunate.  Some day she'll be a adult and on her own.  This incident may be a fond memory.
