I really want a Blue Star range, but that is a lot of $$$ to hedge on divided government actually doing something.
was looking at several high end appliance brands and thought I had my mind made up until I spend over an hour talking to a gent about the internals of them all.

The wife and I settled on a PCFG3670AF..

I guess we will see what we will see...

    Have:
XLBGE / Stumps Baby XL / Couple of Stokers (Gen 1 and Gen 3) / Blackstone 36 / Maxey 3x5 water pan hog cooker
    Had:
    LBGE / Lang 60D / Cookshack SM150 / Stumps Stretch / Stumps Baby

    Fat Willies BBQ
    Ola, Ga

Interesting, why did a Frigidaire float to the top?  My folks have all Frigidaire pro line stuff.  It is real nice, but didn't realize it was on the same level.

doing math with yard darts today. its easier than finding the yield stress of 304 ss at 2200 degrees f in an inert atmosphere pressurized to 30k psi. how could this not be on a chart someplace
Does the pressurized atmosphere change the yield strength?  I only work in a standard atmosphere or vacuum.

at that temp and pressure it goes in as hot rolled plate, then it turns into an extremely annealed forging once cooled down. theres chemical leaching so its no longer a 304 material as well so known chemical and physical properties are no longer valid

He said that he would be happy to sell us something which costs twice as much, but challenged us to an oatmeal taste test off a Viking range or a GE Hotpoint.

All kidding aside, the range we picked has enough bells and whistles for our liking and paired well with the same brand walled double oven.

  • I am by no means a butcher although a hog seems easy. We sold 4 and they probably would not be impressed with my vaguely labeled vacuum bags.

I have a relative who owns a business that does exactly that. Hiring is nearly impossible. I'd imagine it's a good paying job that makes it an attraction.

Eazy Peazy to break down, not sure what you are paying to Butcher + Raise, you can go to a hog farm here, select what you want from suckling to full hog, they will slaughter and dress ,in and out in less than an hour for not much money, you have to break down though

I was all lined up for Bosch but due to availability went with Frigidaire instead. Saved a ton of money. Haven’t installed yet but I’ll be happy enough I’m sure. Except for the dishwasher. Bosch for that.

Being mildly irritated.  MRI is $600 if I self pay, and $900 if I go through insurance.  Self-pay doesn't go toward deductible.

I did not. What is strange there has not been a fire in it in over a week. The last time I posted pics with meat in it was the last time it was used.

Just glad there was no further damage; a fire like that here last summer would've been catastrophic.

I got real lucky. Everything here is dead and it has been windy to boot. I just got lucky this time.

@SGH - Da-n. What a tragedy.  Sounds like you have no idea the source.  At least no one hurt, no lost meats and no collateral damage.  But still...
    Insurance coverage??

I honestly don’t have a clue how it started. And you are correct, luckily no one was hurt and no other damage. As far as insurance, no sir. A couple of grand up in smoke.
