Finally picked my pup out today. Spent about 2.5 hrs watching interactions with littermates and getting to chase the bird wings, watching reactions to loud noises etc.. This was the best of the males and also the birdiest. He was the only one picking up and carrying the quail. He’s also the only one that would consistently come to me vs go off on his own tangent

He sure is a good looking chap! Congratulations and happy huntingGreensboro North Carolina

Love you bro!

He'll be carving decoys in no time.

Thanks @johnmitchell, @Legume.
Excited to pick him up next week. Just worried now about finding time to train him especially with my schedule. He’s for sure traveling on the annual blue wing teal trip. (Not going to expect him to hunt) but definitely exposing him to camp the morning routine, endless hours of driving .
Also dreading “co-parenting” with my lady friend . We have two different goals for the pup. She’s ok with a half minding couch potato… which needless to say I’m not.
Told her I don’t ask for much but she gonna have to help be firm with his discipline and training.. which is gonna be a struggle for her… did warn her if she didn’t would be our first fight lol. -
@Gulfcoastguy. Ha I expect so. I have a decoy that has been “carved on” by each one of my pups.. none of which was by design lol.

Yeah in a year or so I'll add another pup to the house. The Boxer will be 9 then but still able to teach him how to open the dog door etc.

Did a lot of work clearing off SWMBO Jr’s Lego area, so SWMBO and I are enjoying a couple of drinks before making dinner. Negroni for her, Willet for me. Pork chops, corn, and okra from the farmer’s market for dinner.

Getting ready to hope GE can remedy my Opal ice maker. My warranty via Amazon expired 2 days prior to my issues (convenient, right?)

Just got back from a Red Cross power red blood donation. First time for that process. I was told that the power red donation helps six people in need of blood but the normal whole blood donation only helps three.
I then asked the interval between power red donations and was told 112 days. So, a follow-up; explain to me the following-I can give whole blood that helps three people every 56 days or six every 112 days so what is the difference? Basically the answer is that "they have a live one so get as much as we can right now."
Supposedly the recovery time for the red donation is quicker as you get your plasma and platelets back in the process. I will be assessing that thru the lens of brown water recovery beverages.
More than you needed or wanted to know.
Stay healthy and safe out there-

I recommend you keep checking every minute until the stars align.(Btw, trying to spell your handle when Vanilla’s auto populate feature is broken made my brain hurt.) -

Sitting at Best Buy curbside pickup. I could have walked in, picked out my items, drooled over things I don't need, stood in line, paid, and went out to a sit down restaurant by now. Afraid the second I go in, I will mess with the order of things. Sigh. Don't offer it if you can't do it well.
Edit to say I only selected this option so the 4 kids with me wouldn't be in the store touching EVERYTHING.Large, Medium, MiniMax, 36" Blackstone
