Sure, it's all "freedom and less government!" until someone wants freedom and less government next to your property.

Yeah in that scenario I would just kick his ass until he cooperates. Due to government, I have to play by the rules.

visioning a table saw on wheels shooting across the shop floor.  i built a decompression chamber for sanders to test black boxes. it decompressed from 500 psi to zero in 1.5 seconds thru a 4 inch fast acting butterfly valve on the back side, they wanted it mounted on wheels.   engineers......

I'm aware that objects on wheels will move when subjected to lateral forces - that's a problem for some tools, not so much for others.

I have two table saws on wheels.  One has outriggers and the other cam locks.

Anything on wheels without locks will have outriggers (That's just what I call them, but they're basically bolts that screw down to the floor to lift the tool off the wheels).

I built one of those too.  It shot golf balls.  Also maxed out at 125psi.  It also wasn't really built to test decompression.

Current humidity outside is 2%.  Yes, that is not a typo.  Supposedly we hit 1% yesterday.

Last week ours was 4% here in West Texas.  We haven't had measurable rain since last August.

We set records the past few days for temps.  I think yesterday we were hotter than Death Valley.  Today though, Death Valley can have its 106.

@nolaegghead Carey as a tool and die maker the pic of you drilling on your drill press worries me, that bit could grab and swing that part around. I am sure you know that but just mentioning it. Stay safe.

I was a tool and die maker too, for quite a few years during my career. A also drilled a relatively thin sheet of metal in that same way. I only needed two holes in it .. a quick job. After the first hole, I spun it180 degrees to drill the other hole, the bit caught, spun the metal around, causing the burr from the first hole to slice my palm bad nuff for a visit to the clinic. Scared the majeebers right out of me. Some things are directly connected to the bellybutton, and some to the bunghole. That day, the bunghole won ... and took my undies with it. Thinking back on it .. I should have drilled that thing while naked and sitting on the toilet.
