Trying out recliners; my 15-year old is one of the first casualties of my recent retirement. Found a nice Scandinavian glider for $3,400, a ginormous La-Z-Boy for $900, and a chinzy glider for $400.
Will probably offer the La-Z-lady $700 and see if she'll take it, then I can still count myself middle-class, I guess.___________"When small men begin to cast big shadows, it means that the sun is about to set."

There was a semi blown over on the freeway and someone said the campers at the local RV dealership were blown over... that I can understand some of those things are as big as sail boats. We were directly in the path but I locked the barn up as soon as I got a text from nixle. It lasted about 5 minutes with 2 minutes of chaos. My ducks love it, if you ever think the weather is **** watch ducks boy the worse it is the better for them.

@alaskanassasin - closest I've been to a tornado was 5 years ago this month. First one thru here in around 40 years. 3/4 mile from the house.
F 1 (not race car) but all I will say is that the debris field where it rolled thru (around 200 yds wide and 1 mile on the ground) was obvious and impressive in its devastation and way worse than anything adjacent.
That was a virgin event and I don't need to go again.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. -

That was a virgin event and I don't need to go again.Been close to two, one in Raleigh about 10 years ago, I had no idea it even happened maybe 5 miles from the house. The second was about 5 years ago here in Ohio. I watched a Shelf cloud blow over the house, it was low and looked like it was moving 60 mph, strangest thing I have ever seen gave me goose bumps. About 20 miles down the line there was a tornado. This winter I was visiting in Alaska and we had a good size earthquake, my little brother ran outside... I was like wtf man what are you doing, he said "earth quakes are scary man" I just laughedSouth of Columbus, Ohio. -

Making ham stock for the Blazing saddles ham and bean dinner at the campground. 4 shank bones, 1 smoked hoc, onions, carrots, celery, thyme, sage, bay leaf and a few gallons of water.
Should be a gas.😉

Been working on a large meat cleaver in my spare time for weeks. All for nothing. Developed a lot of cracks. Of well, can’t win them all. Time to regroup and start over.
