I have a couple dryers, when I put together my central system I will use them, but right now I'm just using wet air off small compressors.

wish i had it earlier when most of the grinding/polishing tools ran with air, wet air destroys them.  the plasma cutters we run now need the dry air

At least you’ll likely get some great whiskey chosen by your buddies. Could be worse. 😁 New Riff is an up and comer.

Agreed, pending they picked a solid barrel. FYI, they blind picked barrel 8144.

How does something like this work? Are they buying x amount of bottles out of said barrel, or literally a barrel's worth of booze?! Either way, super cool!

They’re are buying a guaranteed 225 bottles (or more) depending on barrel yield. Local bourbon group is buying 1/2 from him. To go on the trip you were committed to cost of travel and 2 cases worth at $60 a bottle. He lives directly across the street from me, I can easily get as much as my heart desires…….as long as he picked a winner. He chose New Riff because they are an up and comer. Also, it isn’t distributed in Louisiana yet

Yikes.  I am facing a repainting, and the above just made me re-evaluate moving or reviewing my fire insurance.

Try being a Vikings fan. Traded our 12th pick for the 32 and to a team in our division.

Enjoy it,  they'll be even smaller AGAIN next year.  Still too sweet for me though.
Have you tried dunking it in a cup of tea?  Meh, silly question I suppose.

Probably just me, but I had to read very carefully what was going on here.  I thought the the tumblers were rings, for the purpose of gentleman's assistance, at first.

Like I said, probably just me though.

Not quite time to strike up Frank Sinatra, but the end is looming.  So what do we have?  The top two are unassailable and fighting each other for the crown, there’s a moderate scrap going on over the distribution of European football ‘glory’ but a more interesting final relegation spot face-off is unfolding.  Everton are holding the berth today, they have a marginal benefit over Burnley just above them and both could yet haul in Leeds.  As a contrarian I’d rather see the Toffees drop as it challenges the orthodoxy plus they are currently the bookies favourite, too.

Newcastle v Liverpool, as irksome as the Toon’s rise has been there’s a hope that reality will dawn when the Reds descend.  The visitors are irrepressible right now. A spirited encounter but ultimately true quality will tell. 0-2

Aston Villa v Norwich, both in abject form and the visitors are a gnat’s crotchet from the drop. Dreadful draw that appeases no-one. 1-1

Southampton v Palace, smacks of sunshine and sandals with both teams all but safe barring some improbable results in the next few weeks.  Always a niggly affair with little love lost between the players or fans. Super Pat needs to shuffle the Palace pack, maybe even not start talisman Zaha to get the three points because usually the Saints take it in turns to kick him up in the air and derail the entire contest. However, this match also screams bore-draw 1-1.

Watford v Burnley, at last something meaningful. The rotten Hornets are praying for a merciful end while the Clarets have surged despite spiritual leader Dyche’s departure.   An away win feels likely and really puts the squeeze on Everton, so a win win. 0-1

    Wolves v Brighton, meh - what’s the point? 1-0

Leeds v Man City, the hosts are not out of peril despite their ‘battling’ a.k.a outright violent smash and grab 0-0 at Palace on Monday.  Won’t work this time though and the inevitable defeat keeps brows furrowed.  Good, the nasty gits.  0-2

    Sunday

Everton v Chelsea, the Toffee faithful are far from convinced by Super Frank and the arrival of his alma mater will help little.  Chelsea might have spluttered recently but will see 3 points as a big part of the jigsaw falling in to place for the Champions League next season.  Helter-skelter but quality counts,  2-3

Spurs v Leicester, the hosts are still pushing for the final CL spot and in any case need points to assure any European football next season while the Foxes could not be any more in the doldrums. 2-0

West Ham v Arsenal, the Hammers are hanging on to the top 6’s coat tails but lost in Europe this week, which could predicate a slump on all fronts.  Defeat by the Gunners in their current form would be no shame but a big blow to Euro qualification. Stakes are high then for the hosts, have they the minerals - per the local vernacular?  I don’t think so. 1-2

    Monday

Man Utd v Brentford, all has come good for the Bees in their first season in the PL, often called ‘the one before they get relegated’. What a great time to visit Old Trafford too, while Utd see out the purgatory phase of this season. You’d think that pride would drive The Red Devils forward to secure Euro football for next season but frankly that’s not a value much in evidence.  2-2

OK I’m off to organise my mowing and garden fettling schedule. It’s another 3 day weekend here,  well it’s been such a long slog since Easter we need another Monday off.  Then we have to wait June until the next one, of which there’s two because we have a Queen.  See what you’re missing?

    suppose.
Americans dunk things in bourbon, Ed.  That’s the sort of freedom you’re entitled to when a king or a queen aren’t walking around insisting on manners and friggin tea.
You're right and I do envy your utopian existence over there in the land of tolerance and liberty.  No vice like grip on power by a small elite for you to be subjugated by.
The difference is, you can never become a king.  On this side of the pond, you can become a subjugating elite.

Just learning that Blackstone has come out with a new pizza oven as an add-on to their 22" griddle:
Don't see it on their website but it appears Walmart already has them  - https://www.walmart.com/ip/seort/340662790?fbclid=IwAR34ASxAj0dsylh04olspdyOEPV1oOHR-ZhsDo_oZYUoPcvOIUFMO_S6lnQ

Also just hearing about this new thermometer:

Added my name to their list for the next batch of thermometers.

Thought it was a copy of the Meater and a gimkick.  Read the literature, pretty cool idea. Disregarding the predictive aspect, the stand alone display and the multiple temp sensors along the shaft is a great improvement.  Looking forward to seeing some reviews from the wild.

Looks like the gate area for a Southwest flight from Burbank to Vegas on a Friday afternoon. Strippers flying in to work for the weekend.

Doesn't sound like a bad deal. I was reading on another bourbon companies website and theirs was $28,500 for the in-house tasting, same amount of bottles and get the empty barrel. Not sure if it was Peerless or Bardstown.
Let us know how it is when you get a chance to taste it. I have a bottle I picked up and haven't tried yet.

Coach Lasso could have a point about some tea but what is it with him and sparkling water?

And where was Ted Lasso set?  Home of the mighty Palace of course.  You’re welcome.
