My daughter has grown up with home cooked meals most her life.  Either her mom or me.  Since the outside has been torn up and my new role has consumed most my evenings we have been eating out a lot.  She came to me today and asked if she could meal plan and if I would help her cook it.  Got to spend some time with her tonight making a TikTok meal.  She showed me the video, then I walked her through the correct way to make what was in the video.  She was amazed and I had a great time just hanging out with her.  Between work, horses, and everything else in life, I don't get a lot of these moments.

Anyway, here is her dinner meals for the next 4 days.  Super duper simple, but got to show her some cool techniques and tricks.  It is what she wanted, so it is what we made.

she could market those 4 day meal plans

Pretty soon, you’ll be doing the cooking out back. Truly precious moments.

She was already asking me if I would show her how to use everything outside 😁.

    So,

    1) I've never heard of chuck roll.  How is it different from a "shoulder clod"?

    2) If my cipherin' is correct, 115 pounds with 5 hunks of meat means about 23 pounds per hunk.   How long will this take to cook?

@Foghorn the Chuck Primal is divided into 2 sub primal , the Clod and the Roll , they cook pretty much the same ( picnic shoulder and butt ) I’m planning on 20 hours but will speed it up if I have to, cruising at 225 right now

Beauty of this cook is, I’m only did prep and cook, they dropped the protein off and will pick it up tomorrow…easy peasy

Gold. I would gladly hire her for weekly lunch prep.

I have so many memories of cooking with my mom when I was a kid, and now as an adult, with Pops. Some of my best memories.

@lkapigian - what rig did you use and do you hire stick feeders for the long duration cooks?
Guests are gonna be eating very well.
