  • The fact it is almost tipping off the edge of your board is really bothering me.  That is worse than a fork in the photo.
If it was deliberate, I am impressed.

If it was accidental, I am concerned.

I didn't even notice there was food in the photo.  I think those might be pork chops?

Correct on the pork chops…Costco has not been cutting the thick center cut chops here for a bit. Had to get what I could get. Thanks Biden.

@JohnInCarolina Girth over length any day.  And those slices of protein (pork confirmed) suggest you need to improve your thickness aka girth estimations where it counts.   =)
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

You should immediately head over to the Sous Vide thread.  Length and girth discussions abound in that thread.

For the love of God, can’t we talk about the fact that he’s drinking a beer with the equivalent of a candy bar in it?  This is like Zima with jolly ranchers in it, or strawberry shortcake vape. Roll and tie the chops if it’s girth you want, but he’s drinking a middle school beer.  I think intervention is needed.
Lol!  I didn't even look at the beer, I just assumed it was a dark ale.  Candied Pecan! @Battleborn , we all know a White Claw is what you really lust after.  Just drink that instead.

My goodness, I guess I should have put up a trigger warning. Truth be told, Shiner is/was my favorite domestic beer and I enjoy trying their seasonal offerings. This one was not good.

I rarely drink beer anymore and probably will stick with some White Claws (honestly never had one) after that.

That is a philosophical question.  I consider Nitro injection to still be naturally aspirated.  This is a question that divides communities.

Had a package transported by USPS via Fontana, California, package has gone missing between Cali and AZ.  Wonder if it is part of the LA train scene now?

Luckily this is just a regular replaceable item.  Just inconvenience, hopefully whoever got it needed an HDMI splitter with an optical out.

Train scene is pretty secure the past week once Union Threatened to pull out of the area, forcing them to truck good to and from the docks, freeways would have been more of a nightmare

    Huzzah and rejoice,  the PL is back back back.  We’ve had a round of mid-week games that essentially gave rise to hope for all the bottom clubs except Everton, whilst Arsenal appear to have grown a set by winning at Wolves.  Get your credit cards out and dial the betting shop,  here we go;

Man Utd v Southampton,  all things remain wobbly at Old Trafford and the Saints are surging. Should be entertaining and at least 3 goals.  I can’t decide so it’s 2-2 for me.

Brentford v Palace,  the Bees are in terrible shape with 5 straight defeats, Palace are sub-optimal on the road.  My heart says we’ll do them a favour and capitulate,  my head says we have sufficient talent.  So, 1-1 it is to widespread frustration.

Everton v Leeds,  ooooh-baby, this is a big one.  Newly appointed Super Frank Lampard really has his work cut out at the Toffees as underlined by their comfortable defeat at Newcastle this week.  The visitors are hit and miss but will not die wondering.  1-2 and the bad times roll on for SFL.

Watford v Brighton, avoid, avoid, avoid like the office bore or extremely friendly-on-first-encounter member of the opposite sex.   No good can come of this. It will be awful and at best a tedious draw.  0-0.

Norwich v Man City, two teams in form but separated by 43 points - which shows you how awful the Canaries have been as Citeh have 60 in total.  A bracing 0-3 but this is a Hail Mary for the hosts.

In the Championship Stoke bounced back with a dream teasing win mid-week but now face Nottingham Forest who are that league’s sassiest team right now.   A Potters away win is improbable but would be seismic. For that reason I am calling on the football deities for a 2-0 to Forest,  @Eoin will know why.

    Sunday

Burnley v Liverpool, the outlook remains grim for the Clarets. Obduracy only gets you so far and the Reds - who have all but given up on a title run already, will just be too god.  0-2

Newcastle v Villa,  six weeks ago this was nailed on as a bore draw but now things have spiced up.  Stevie G has summoned a raft of new talent while Toon are now similarly buoyed and are playing much better.  For all that’s good in the world an away win is the only correct outcome but that’s far from certain.  2-1

Spurs v Wolves, a close encounter in many respects.  Spurs are now on a much firmer footing as Conte exerts increasing authority.  Wolves are worthy of their 8th place and will not see this as unwinnable.  Has to be 1-1, barring some kind of aberration by either side.

Leicester v West Ham,  there’s talk of unrest amongst the Foxes camp and last weekend’s very public dumping out of the FA Cup by Forest will have not quelled that.  West Ham have gone from darlings to villains this week by fielding a player who practised his kicking skills on his cat (yes, his cat) and posted the video online (yes, posted it online)  His fine of two weeks’ wages - which is about £250k, has done little to enamour him to the average working man either.   Expect a spicy atmosphere and burst of moderately entertaining football.   But don’t cancel any plans to watch this one is my advice. 0-1.

There you go, then. A full fat filibuster post this week, @Foghorn  Everyone else?  Just enjoy scrolling the mouse a few times past this one.  Tally ho!

It seems that a couple of week off has done your writing good.  However, the time off also seems to have sapped some of your prognostication courage as I think you have predicted more draws than ever - or maybe you just explained them better...

However, it seems appropriate given that each of us saw our teams suffer 1-1 draws mid-week in games that they needed to win against lesser opponents.

I am surprised (OK, not really) to learn this morning that when Man U players refer to their assistant coach as "Ted Lasso" that it is not a compliment...

At any rate, it should be a good weekend to be in front of the telly with EPL games and Winter Olympics filling the days.  Thanks for brightening up my Friday morning as always.

My daughter has grown up with home cooked meals most her life.  Either her mom or me.  Since the outside has been torn up and my new role has consumed most my evenings we have been eating out a lot.  She came to me today and asked if she could meal plan and if I would help her cook it.  Got to spend some time with her tonight making a TikTok meal.  She showed me the video, then I walked her through the correct way to make what was in the video.  She was amazed and I had a great time just hanging out with her.  Between work, horses, and everything else in life, I don't get a lot of these moments.

Anyway, here is her dinner meals for the next 4 days.  Super duper simple, but got to show her some cool techniques and tricks.  It is what she wanted, so it is what we made.

I love this.  She’ll have such a big leg up when she goes off to college when everyone else is figuring out they don’t know how to cook or shop.  Kudos to her for the choice, that’s more green than half the plates posted here.
