Memphis style dry rub. Rendezvous seasoning to top off. Tasted like I was back home.
Love the Rendezvous on top of cheese and sausage platters.

@CPFC1905 Glad you managed to power thru as it looks like a great way to spend the day and wrap it up with a banquet.  Better to be lucky than good any day.
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

Ha!  Yes, I did take one for the team there.

I have been occupied on other matters recently and not kept up to speed with things on here.  Hoping to redress that later alongside some bit of online/proxy Eggtoberfest-ing.
Other girls may try to take me away
But you know, it's by your side I will stay

Got a shingles vaccination today...had to pick up a prescription anyway.  Booster in 2 months.
I hope you had a better reaction than I did. I had quite a few of the listed side effects. It only lasted a day - but still...
Arm is definitely sore today....nothing that will keep me sidelined.  SWMBO got she shot too....she has an ice pack on hers.

Day trip up to the north shore.

We found a bbq place up here.

I had there Korean BBQ Pork Belly Sandwich and their blue cheese potato salad. Tasty.
We love it up there. This is the first time in probably two decades we haven't taken at least one trip to the north shore. Was the grub from OMC?

It was a little strange staying outside. We walked around the pier and hit the bluffs. Stayed out of buildings. The weather was nice. We ate outside when at OMC. Moreorless a road trip to see all the fall colors.

  • @WeberWho, we have a lot of favorite spots up there, but the OMC and Bent Paddle is a pretty good combo. Northern Waters Smokehaus is the one place we never miss, but curious how they are handling things with social distancing there.

Thanks for the tip on Northern Waters Smokehaus. My mom and her friends are heading up to the north shore next weekend. I'm going to pass this along to her.

I'm working on the scooter just in time to put it away for winter.  :s

I noticed oil on the crankcase a few years ago after riding it. So I parked it in the shed thinking it needed a head gasket. I ordered a head gasket last month so it was ready for tear down. Upon further inspection it wasn't a head gasket at all. It was a loose hose on the oil reservoir. The oil followed a couple other hoses and dripped down on the crankcase near the head. No head gasket needed. That saves me some headache.

The carb went to crap after sitting for a few years. The float went bad. So I cleaned up the carb and threw in a new float. I also replaced the fuel line and gromet as they were in need. I tossed in a new air filter. So it should run and breathe a whole lot better now. Only thing left now is a gasket for crankcase and tubes/tires.

Glad you made it to the Zoom last Friday and hope you can back there soon.  The bar seating is unlimited.  We need to press the envelope!
